Chat GPT is the best thing to happen to this game for New Players

The accuracy in this AI has increased drastically over the last year and although it can still give some inaccuracies like info from old builds of the game prior to this league rather than the most current up to date changes so it's kinda funny seeing it give info prior to changes.

However it can still brilliantly explain everything about POE from things like DOT multiplier vs More DOT to Increased Damage to Elemental Damage in any specific build.

Can tell you the actual outcome and which ends up doing more damage etc.

I know a number of new commers to this game who uses this tool to make builds and understand what everything means.

It simply isn't feasible to ask the community these things anymore, takes too long and Chat GPT can just search maxroll and reddit steal the info and explain it to you in laymans terms on the spot NO waiting for response on reddit or asking a friend but he can't respond cause he is in Maps.

I have a friend who tried this game a couple times and deleted it not long after never even completing the game campaign, as much as I wanted to help him like most people would want to out here we simply do NOT have the time or patience to help most new people understand the basics of the game.

This guy by just using Chat GPT was able to complete the campaign and reach T8, honestly very impressive for a casual gamer like himself. Sure it isn't 100% accurate but its very impressive for what it is and it's ability to teach

Chat GPT may never be 100% accurate but it's ability to teach is extremely impressive for an AI.

I sincerely hope you are double checking that information....because I doubt chatgpt is giving you "accurate" information.

As a quick test, I asked it a basic question: "In Path of Exile, what is the difference between "more" and "increased" modifiers?"

What it spit out SEEMED correct on the surface description-wise, but when it actually provided an example....the example was dead wrong.

The more specific you get, the more likely chatgpt is going to be giving you false information.

I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity Any girl who isn’t me today!
An AI is only as good as the data used to train it.

When it comes to language, books and texts contain little to no (english) errors/mistakes. So, AI programs don't make language mistakes.

Unfortunately, when it comes to subject matter, there are a lot of mistakes, biased opinions, misinformation and usually stuff that is just wrong.

This means, answers generated by an AI program seemingly look like correct because they seem to be very well articulated but often completely wrong.
"How might I create a POE build that imitates the world renowned Italian plumber Super Mario?"

"To create a Super Mario-themed build in Path of Exile, start with a Juggernaut for durability. Use Leap Slam for Mario's iconic jump and stomp mechanic, with "Endurance Charge on Melee Stun" for extra toughness. Equip a weapon that deals Fire Damage, like Ngamahu's Flame, to represent his fire flower power-up, and add an area-of-effect skill like Molten Strike to emulate fireballs. For gear, focus on movement speed, and stack life, resistances, and armor to stay tanky, much like Mario handling everything thrown at him!"

It checks out, guys.
It can help clarify things that people get wrong all the time. But youll definetely want to double check what it spits out.

Stuff like the confusion of "more" being a multipler and "increased" being additive can help for clarity as the wiki's are very text heavy on the subjects.

Same with things like what POB shows you on damage taken and such.

Like all things, just gotta be careful how you use it. Make sure to double check.

I have a friend who refused to play POE due to not being able to understand the complexity of the game

Introduced him to Chat GPT and he has managed to reach T8 maps on his own, this is impressive and wouldn't have been possible without chat GPT

I try to help him but I am too busy these days with work, life and having little time to play on evenings or weekends, I can only put 5 hours on evenings in this game and maybe 25 hours on weekends at best so only about 50 hours a week

And as I get older my patience dwindles and I get grumpier, the fact that Chat GPT allowed him to reach end game and T8 was quite something as he tried a few times and deleted POE in the past due there not having proper explanation of the game and the complexity behind it.

I still remember playing games in the 90's and didn't even have internet to look up anything, everything was by pure guesswork

Now we have AI and youtube tutorials and even "training mode in fighting games"

Back then you spent all your quarters in the arcade cabinet trying to learn against the computer AI set to hard difficulty LMAO

ChatGPT is great for checking your grammar and punctuation when it counts.(Especially useful for non native english speakers). It's an ok free programm. But even if you just want to write a simple essay you can kind of feel it out that it's ai writing. Simple rules that apply to everything is what ai can do. Everything else is just a giant big dump of data available on the internet. Simplified, filtered and wrong in many cases.

Chat GPT please correct this text but don't change any words.
