AH killed the price fixers, it was a mistake to not add non-stackable items
Funny how people have to cry about anything, even now that the ah-lovers got what they want, they try to mock people who think different.
I use the "old trade" just fine and only check the "ah" if the ratio is better, because it sometimes is.
" of course people would go ahead and mock them. because they ones who think different actively open discussion to make the game worse. 1. harder to trade. 2. trading takes time 3. waste of effort when other party is not responding or is busy with other trades 4. SCAMS. the thing i get pissed off the most about a lot of those who "think different" is that they tend to have a weird victim blaming mindset. "oh you should have checked the item properly before trading" "nothings wrong with the game, its the players fault". i cant remember the people who had this POV at this point. but with the success of this "AH", its a good time now than ever to mock them. what benefit does this game get from having such a gatekeeping mindset? people get scammed and its not bad enough that they got scammed, they get shit on for "allowing" themselves to get scammed. for sure there's many angles to this topic. in anycase i hope this goes core. " The ones who are mocked are the ones who claimed with absolute certainty it would turn PoE into a hellhole, and there were a lot. That seems well deserving. You play SSF? Nothing but respect for you. Just calling out your red herring that anyone who "thinks different" is being in any way put down. Last edited by trixxar on Aug 26, 2024, 1:38:27 AM

" Yes, this is true! The league mechanic itself is meeeh but holy shit do I love the currency AH. German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team." top2000: "let me bend your rear for a moment exile"
The "stupid" gold costs are to mitigate excessive flipping, or dedicated bot accounts doing their thing.
That said, the costs do need to be adjusted some, especially on the flat quantity multipliers. But overall, for a first version, the currency AH has been wildly sucessful. The doom posting on AH's we have seen for years have been wiped away in a few weeks. Trade Manifesto into the bonfire. Can't wait until this is implemented for non-currency items. On a more selfish note, it's does feel somewhat vindicating to see this AH working well, after years of being on that side of the argument. What you call "AH" has nothing to AH. It's just currency exchange, nothing less, nothing more.

I think the closest implementation to what may work in PoE would be a PoE homogonized version of the original and current bazaar in Last Epoch.

" Some people see AH in POE!? Actually they see what they imagine, even though it has nothing to do with reality.
Lol Mark actually called it their version of an AH himself. It's already fully in place & designed for PoE2. (For all tradeable items)
I don't care what it's called in practice, name doesnt matter, but if players post an item, or currency, up for sale at a price they set, and other players purchase from that as an order, and both are sent directly to the player, that's a fucking AH. Edit: And thank god, if that was in anyway unclear. Don't try to move the goal post. What we have is AH and it is working fine. The years-long fear mongering can finally stop.
