I would put Affliction as one of the worst. If you didn't MF farm, there was virtually no point in the league at all. Inflation was at an all-time high. Lot's of people feel that farming up divines makes a good league; but when the purchasing power of those divines is the next worst thing to standard's economy, how rich are you really?
Necropolis reintroduced the same problem but this time via T17s. I enjoy Necropolis WAY more than affliction because the lantern/corpses/allflames have better interaction than 'mobs are now super hard but drop more alterations than you can mule with 6 portals' ala Affliction. I effectively quit Necropolis when I had to craft my boots and wanted an Aisling unveil that took 10 orbs to finally hit. At 15 divines an orb, I have to question what GGG thinks is an acceptable cost to a single crafted mod because 150 divines is nowhere near the realm of acceptable. That one process sucked any joy I had for the league remaining. For these reasons, I'd say Sentinel was my favourite league. You could get the feeling of 'juicing' maps without having to actually do all that and in a way that didn't feel cheap like affliction did. T0 drops having 0 market value in the last two leagues has also had a buzzkill effect. | |
" Assume you are talking about my post. Yes I did, in a way, and I listed all my reasoning, justifications, and thought process. But this post is an incredibly flawed, gaslighting, deliberately antagonistic simplification. LMFAO indeed It's what is known to many as an "opinion", but one with actual fleshed out rationale rather than a comment such as this one which adds absolutely nothing. Folks may and do disagree with me, I don't expect agreement. But I do want to express MY opinion that their feelings are clouded. And if I happen to encourage folks to dig deeper and think deeper about WHY they like x or y league, then great! Not every single thing anybody says is black and white "you are wrong, I am right". I could have easily written "ToTA and Sanctum were awful, all you people who like them are WRONG". But that is a completely invalid and useless post. Interesting to see the diverse range of opinion. No wonder the forums are always mostly complaints lol.
For me Sentinel was the last best league. We tested it extensively

affliction. crucible, sentinel and sanctum before that.
i do like tatoos from tota but mechanic was crap... kinda same with necropolis - liked the special power items you get, but mechanic should be much simpler. |

" --- I pretty much agree with this MVP list although I did not enjoy Sanctum as much because it did not fit the way I play the game. I just did not agree with defenses not mattering - but that was a personal thing. In hindsight I think I was a bit stubborn about not wanting to play a "Rogue-like" because the way I enjoy playing POE is being a map clear God and I rarely do much bossing (except for my 6 portal zergs after I am done leveling). Anyway, even though I did not particularly like Sanctum I did appreciate the nice design of the mechanic and how straight-forward it was and easy to understand with good rewards. The exact opposite of Necropolis and Necropolis tombs got in the way of playing even if you wanted to skip it (that was my real beef, I can deal with a league I don't like if I can skip the mechanic).
