" Oh yeah? How many bosses you killed first try, going there blind, w/o "turning on easy mode" aka using one of OP weapons made to "enable easy mode"? | |
" Probably plays Twinblades in DS3 for the 8th time thinking "huh, this game's easy" I got like 300 hours in Elden Ring and 120 in DS3 and wouldn't call either game easy. People who say stuff like that actually weird me out. What do they say that for? The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. " Maybe half? Duno, thats not what those games are about btw. They are all about learning paterns. In ds1 i liked claymore+ pyromancy, ds2 heide knight sword and red iron twinblade. I didnt like ds3 honestly. Are those op? I have no idea, i dont care. Those games are not hard because you have as many tries as you want. You can also make them as easy as you want just by grinding some levels and upgrading weapons. Elden ring is the easiest of them all thanks to spirits. If you dont use the tools the game gives you you are handicaping yourself and thus have no right to complain about difficulty. Last edited by kuciol on Mar 25, 2024, 7:28:18 AM

" Pyromancy is super easy in DS1 because it doesn't require a whole lot of "investment" in terms of Attunement. It falls of in NG+ because it doesn't scale, but it's enough to give you an easy time throughout DS1. Same with the Claymore, it's one of the best weapons in DS1 I don't have anything to say about DS2 because I feel nothing but burning, unquenching hatred for it. I think the internet kinda ruined games like that where people think that only because meta strategies exist they're suddenly easy. The whole magic of these games is discovering stuff for yourself and learning from failures, which there will be many of throughout the journey. Not gonna accuse you of dropping "easy" and "casual" on those games to bolster your own ego, but you're balancing on the cusp quite blatantly The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Why? Because i like the moveset od good weapons? Give me a break. I didnt use guides i just happen to like this playstyle thats all. If you are not using what game gives you its on you not the game.
Edit: elitism is exactly the thing you are doing right now. It doesnt count because i didnt play the "correct" way. Last edited by kuciol on Mar 25, 2024, 7:50:48 AM

" How can you not see the flaw in calling a game easy because "you have unlimited attempts" - you still have to put in the time. My comment about DS1 was meant to put into perspective how your personal choice, which happens to align with a meta strategy, may have warped your perception of the game's difficulty. For the record: I don't care any which way you choose to play the game. I don't care if you beat Elden Ring all thanks to Mimic Tear doing the work for you, or if you play Pyromancy in DS1. It's all up to you. What I have a problem with is calling souls-games "easy" - they're not. Your assertion is misinformed The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. " Ofc they are easy once you learn bosses patterns. Because its the goal of the game. But the fact that you NEED to learn bosses patterns to defeat them instead just yolo it and win anyway shows that tge game is hard. Also Dark Soul games have difficulty levels, just not in the menu. Depending of your weapon choice the game can be WAY easier and you can play on "easy mode". Guess what. Your weapon choice enabled easy mode. Last edited by Aynix on Mar 25, 2024, 8:07:21 AM

We have different definition of hard than. A game that gives you infinite chances is not hard. Think what you want about my weapon choice, point still stands game is as easy as you want it to be. Its in the game therefor its viable strategy and you are in no position to call that wrong.

No one is judging your choice of weapons. I don't care if you weild an iron bar or an ornate greatsword. I think I said as much
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
