Why PoE 2 will again not get a Auction house? (or trading system)

Would you like to list the new trading problems created by the currency exchange?

This can actually be a good discussion point.

Botting is bad in the old system. Once it's automated, botting/sniping will be more rampant. Price fixing used to be done in two ways: Fake pricing and cornering the market through sniping 'most' of item X. Fake pricing is gone, but cornering the market is way easier now and can be automated in a way not previously possible.

Old trading will still exist, and with powerful third party apps/communities, we all know there will be a lot of shenanigans going on there. (Most of) the API has to be closed off, sooner rather than later.

Faster/automated trade will also affect the economy. How? We'll just have to wait and see. I'm guessing it will benefit high end players, because "good items" will lose their value faster, while "the best" items will be more expensive, making it harder to sell your gear, and harder to buy actual upgrades. This is of course also happening through the old system after a few weeks of a league, but I think it will happen even faster now and even larger differenced in prices.

Some of the points above is of course speculation. Some people don't believe anything of that will happen, others don't care and just want to "buy items quickly". Some of those will probably be a little bit disappointed when they are struggling to sell stuff, because it will be even more important now to "stay ahead of the economy". And some people see opportunities.

I'm not painting the new trading system all black here. We did NEED improvements to trade. All I'm saying is that EVERY system has its benefits and drawbacks, and some of those benefits and drawbacks won't show for some time.

Edit: And I just saw that you were referring to the currency exchange. Well, not everything in the currency exchange is relatable to actual items with no "set" value. And we DID see a lot of cornering on the exchange too. Easy to see for a trained eye, harder to see when you're just buying and not necessarily thinking about the price. A LOT (and I mean a lot) of people are hideout-warrioring the currency exchange because it's so easy to automate buying cheap and selling more expensive. Drag this over to items? Well, we just have to wait and see.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Messing with invites just to swap items wastes so much time. I started using https://tradelytic.com/brokers/reviews/t4trade/ for keeping tabs on my own trades outside the game, and it made it easier to see what’s worth sending or accepting. A simple DM-confirm system in-game would make trading way smoother and less stressful.

Hey guys ...
one of the reasons i quitted PoE was there is no trade system and the gameplay still made it up to a solo player game.

I hope they fix it someday :p
y'all just love to complain.
