At this point you should remove Harvest in the upcoming league. There is no point to keep it since is more worse than bench craft

Poor player retention means no one buying MTX. Is this not obvious? Changes can be fine but you created a perfect storm of too many changes that compound and results in a dead zone for absolutely atrocious player retention... and the expense and availability of items gets worse. You say that making items easier to get makes people quit faster but in my personal experience, this isn't true at all. Last league was one of the most rewarding leagues we have seen. I got a mageblood and leveled several characters into the 90's because it was FUN to blast maps on different build types with that item. I played pretty late into the league. Killed bosses I never imagined trying, etc. If the vision =/= fun then this player retention trend will continue, if they are willing to try again.

I fully agree with your post, but I have come to believe that GGG doesn't aim for player retention.
Kalandra being a few percentage points below any other league may not matter much: that initial spike in the population (which was pretty high in this case), with the concomitant increase in casual players who buy supporter packs but don't visit the forum or otherwise do any type of research, is what probably makes GGG's (and therefore, Tencent's - let's not forget that) day in terms of money. Then again, discussions here generally go about the game, and not about the fact that most users pay a pretty penny out of sheer enthusiasm, and should by all means deserve answers beyond a very basic PR level (problems have been "acknowledged" for quite a few leagues now, and yet here we are). One could raise the question of how they would do if refunds were an actual thing for PoE, or if RNG were applied to payments (!).

One could also argue that, unlike augments or specific fractures, the removal of jewel implicits doesn't make much sense, considering how accessible they used to be and how random (roughly 1/25) the results were. This would still fit the Vision's guidelines in favor of gambling in general.

As a Standard player, I could also argue that trading went to the actual crapper with people being unable to make remove-only tabs public anymore, but then again, many readers frankly wouldn't care: a generally divided playerbase is precisely what leads to the current situation of the game, and this is possibly one of the key elements of PoE's business (and "social") model.
I am starting to get a feeling that POE 2 is going to be all about Archnem and no crafting.

Just bring Harvest back already. PoE is not an eSport, it's a for fun game, doesn't matter if we can craft our gear easier. Just means we get more good items overall and therefore can progress our characters more. Why is this a problem?

yeah its not a e-sport but some peoples like to watch some "races" who is first lmao

i dont give a crap about them and their races
just let me play the game and have fun

i obviously cant have fun now with such bad crafting
these reroll crafts was important its like i am kid and they took my toy
no i dont have fun

and eldrich crafting is good for implicits aint nobody use this crap untill you boost drop rate of the orbs
Archnemesis will not be balanced for leagues, best hope is it is removed for PoE 2.0.

Lake Kalandra is a lot less rewarding than maps. Triple for league mechanics. Hope for a currency chest and then be underwhelmed. It needs a massive buff, or clear reason to do it instead of just running more maps.

Just remove harvest. You hate it for incoherent reasons, fine. Just make a clean break.

You keep making massive changes, see outcry. (justified outcry, often). Then nerf your terrible changes a little over time.

This game is a lot worse on multiple levels than 3.17, no chance I buy a supporter pack. Sadly it is still fun. But, speak with your wallet and all that.
Yes please change up the loot. The loot explosions of whetstones and scraps could be something useful like chromatics, scours, regrets, alterations, etc. Give us something that's useful please.
I finally manage to daning boss and server crashed no instance to go back . How it will be recompancete? Firaday evenin i want to relax and ending only pissed!

Community feedback reports that Archnemesis Modifiers that convert rewards to quality currency and flasks feel bad. We are discussing this internally but don't have an outcome to report just yet. However, initial discussions suggest there is a fair bit of team agreement around it feeling bad.

Why not have a IIR related-system that makes these AN mods upgrade their drops!?

- Instead of dropping 29 utility flasks, drop 5 20% quality flasks and a unique flask.

- Instead of dropping 21 maps, upgrade them to drop fewer maps, but with 20% quality, chisels, sextants, maps with implicits like blight and delirium, master missions on them, maps corrupted with 6 mods & 20% quality.

- Instead of dropping 10 stacks of armour quality currency, upgrade it to higher value crafting currency - chance orbs, alterations, transmutes, regrets, etc.

It can feel SO much better.

just revert harvest to the way it was before with the only difference being of us being able to craft in our hideout, problem solved.
"We are also aware that there is a lot of disappointment around certain Harvest Crafts being removed. Previously, Harvest Crafting was balanced by how difficult it was to get the crafts that you want. Now that crafts are tradeable, Harvest's power was reduced to be more in line with other crafting methods. We understand that there is a call for us to bring those crafts back but it isn't really possible while allowing Harvest to remain tradeable.

While this isn't exactly what you want to hear, I can say that this issue was pushed very hard during discussions to see if any compromise could be made. Harvest's crafting potential without being gated by rarity is just too high."

About harvest craft, why not add there "rare" crafts as currency? Like a drop from the boss or tier 4 seeds, but atleast leave it in the game, even if its rarer than the boss it self?
