Marvelous understatement, superbly tonedeaf. slowclap

"
"Previously, Harvest Crafting was balanced by how difficult it was to get the crafts that you want."

Previously Harvest Crafting was balanced around removing access to deterministic crafting for the general playerbase so that streamers and people who otherwise invest an unhealthy amount of time in the game can augment their ability to peacock aspirational content. Harvest has been balanced around your personal vanity in doubling down on decisions that are harmful to the overall health of the game and on enabling the vanity of those whom you find to be your true target audience. The changes you have made are utterly nonesensical when viewed outside the extremely isolated and absurd way these people experience the game. The only people for whom these balance changes make sense are those that are effectively playing the game in item editing mode because they are, through their immense investment, are unbound from the limiting factors of scarcity and time.

"Now that crafts are tradeable, Harvest's power was reduced to be more in line with other crafting methods. We understand that there is a call for us to bring those crafts back but it isn't really possible while allowing Harvest to remain tradeable."

First and foremost, this is an arbitrary decision you have made. There is no reason why every mode of crafting has to be "in line" with the rest. This just a poor excuse to divert away from the real reason you are too pussy to simply own, even thought you do everything to express it short of wearing it on your sleeve.

These changes have been made to further the ability of the toxic, elitist community you foster to peacock and to turn the rest of your players into glorified bots for the upper crust of your game. I have been carefully following the discourse on the topic of all these changes and the moment I saw the conversation being driven hard about rewards, I knew it was only a matter of time before this post was made. Because to those against whom these changes are targeted the only important question is the presence of resources, which they tackled, allowing you to divert attention away from the rest of the things you've done to cripple the game for everyone else. These are elementary levels of manipulation and you are far less clever than you think you are.

I am done with this game, I was here for the dark fantasy ARPG and not as some fucking lab rat in your perverted capitalism simulator.

==========================================================================

And this guy is 275% correct and he can actually write in English, while for me is difficult. If u turn your game in a simulator for 0.1% of players base who play this game for a living, and u make everyone else just a non-significant marginal user of the game, you will end up with this, exact this type of situation. And i amm 1000% sure that nobody for GGG really understand what the problem is.

We are also aware that there is a lot of disappointment around certain Harvest Crafts being removed. Previously, Harvest Crafting was balanced by how difficult it was to get the crafts that you want. Now that crafts are tradeable, Harvest's power was reduced to be more in line with other crafting methods. Yeah that's cool, except that reroll keep prefix/suffix wasn't rare at all. You could get full horticrafting station of those in a few hours with an atlas tree speced into harvest.

You might run into the malicious RNG that you find 10 reroll keep suffix while you are looking for reroll keep prefix but that's about it.

It would be nice if you at least had the guts to give the real reason and stand by it, same goes for the bullshit reasoning around trade with "we don't want the trade to be easy because you would get better stuff" nonsense.

You didn't like the Ritual player retention when everyone was happily crafting their own end-game stuff instead of farming some mechanic they do not like so they can buy it from a pro-crafter. You want the top-of-line end-game gear to be available only for top 0.1% players and lucky bastards who smash some juicy pinata with MF gear on, just say it, delete the harvest and move on.
why do you have to investigate everything? don't you have a single employee that plays the game and can provide internal feedback?
ok if u dont want trade to harvest, revert to previous state simple or not?

at least that.

For the other its okish.

Pog thanks guys, you've been popping off this league with consistent patches correlating to feedback. Keep it up!
Still not enough to make me come back. GGG really fucked up this time. I will not be investing my money into GGG's success due to this BULLSHIT QUAD DOWN.

Why not have a PTR, where players can test out proposed changes before they go live. That way, you can proactively and preemptively receive feedback and minimize having to do damage control after a release.

As for harvest, why not just make the lifeforce non-tradable? That way, you have your gate, plus players retain the feature to craft whenever they want.
I'm reading that the player retention rate at 14 days is the lowest in recent years.

I also see popular player community figures speaking out - vigorously - against GGG's new direction.

Does GGG acknowledge any correlation between player dissatisfaction and its new direction?

I do understand that segments of the community are ok with the changes ("Nice!" "POG").

Lastly, I have a bet with a friend. So, may I ask that someone at GGG please state "It's not the changes that people are upset about; it's how we communicated them." Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the recap! What else should we hope for sir?
You are not a wave, you're part of the ocean
You still took 500% Power of Gaming away and gave us over 10 patches from the league start, let's say 45% Power back? Amazing League... Thankfully retention is that good!
