I think the root issue here is that anything that doesn't have the LoK chest in it doesn't really *scale* with difficulty. I've taken to putting a lot of league content near the entrance, and reserving the higher-difficulty spots for stuff that has a lake chest, because higher-difficulty lake chests can drop a big pile of loot. A lot of these would turn reasonable if they contained a LoK chest in them. Beyond is obviously terrible, as it gets ultra-difficult, but only seems to drop one, maybe two, tainted currency items. Essence is sketchy, because the archnemesis mods combined with the essence mods combined with the lake difficulty creates real nasty monsters that still only drop a few essences, the same reward I could get from a T1 map. In my last lake, I left a essence monster untouched because it contained a fire mod, and I didn't want to take 5 minutes to kill it. Harbinger is bad, because the most valuable drop that can realistically occur is an exalt shard. The difficulty is fine. The strongbox tile doesn't seem to drop more or better items at difficulty 8+ as opposed to difficulty 1. Also, the T1 strongbox tile doesn't really drop anything good in general. The difficulty is fine. |

i lost my faith in GGG. i belive when i see improves. in thies lague i saw many patchies that doesn't patch the real problem in poe. Remove AN if u can't make them right, they are ruining the game. uplayable garbage. a lot of players left feeback about them, yet GGG keeps igoring them, and just throws a few scraps to us.

So, I will try and make this as helpful as possible. Currently at level 90 and progression has felt slow for me. My gear/dps getting brick walled every so many levels unless currency I wasn't finding is spent on gear that's priced really oddly thanks to the divine/exalt swap. That was me getting to maps, which honestly took longer this league than in any other and yielded VERY little to work with, not a great start. Harvest life force yields ended up being a non-viable solution towards crafting, therefore essences are now being hard farmed for their deterministic properties. This somewhat mitigates the damage done by removing the best-known crafting implementation from the game. Now we fast forward through about 120 maps. I have still found pretty much nothing. All of my currency is from set turn in's (freaking seriously?). I have to spend HOURS doing sets to get ANYTHING, SOMETHING from my runs. Absolutely ludicrous. There is not a more boring way to play. So I do this diligently, insight must be offered after all. The divine drop rate needed to equal the old exalted drop rate and the exalted drop rate needs to be higher than the divine or you already screwed the pooch out the gate. Exalted are already rare, and if Divines WERE cheaper in the past but are now the new Exalted, well it doesn't matter because I never find one. I also have doubts as to whether every player will come across these supposed *currency well* creatures either. Alright, so we've put in about 2 1/2 days of play time total, we should be doing decent yeah? I'm solid broke. I have spent less than the usual Exalted rate in Chaos for my gear and just DO NOT see any relief on the horizon. Every piece of content I run yield's absolutely nothing. All identifies are complete trash regardless of area rarity. I've kept track, I have ID'd over 900 pieces of gear in 1 1/2 weeks. All. Trash. Imagine that, looking at almost 1000 pieces of complete garbage. Doesn't really inspire picking stuff up to ID it now does it...?
NOW... The lake.. How to put this. The lake is just a seriously dumb idea. No way around that. Sorry, I don't mean it to be rude, but good god really? This is the best idea you guys had for this league...? I'd prefer MARS ATTACKS themed over this. We've had other leagues where jewelry was involved (talisman) and that felt intuitive and engaging, making new pieces and seeing hard results from your finds. This just feels underwhelming across the board. The lake should have a more primordial property than what it does, it acts as though it is seperate from Wraeclast yet is supposed to be a mirror realm of that world, yes? So why is this relegated ONLY to jewelry? Is the mirror world fancy? Does it only adorn itself with gems and jewels? No, it has no preference because it isn't alive, it's a place, so how is it only making jewelry. Don't get it. I also believe you would greatly benefit from seeing the reward types you are getting from placing these tiles onto your mirror area. In almost every other case where we're interactively choosing what to do with the league's mechanics you see more or less the type of reward string you're creating for yourself. In this one, I imagine lists had to be made by the community in order to attempt to find the best options for yield of any sort. That should have been there from day ONE. Big mistake and oversight on not giving reward details. Every reward chest difficulty 5 or less needs to be buffed. They just aren't giving anyone anything to enjoy/work with. We HAVE to find stuff from SOMEWHERE or we cannot progress properly. As things stand, you have forcefully created a dead zone of play time wherein the character is forced to stale run through most of its lifespan in an attempt to become the character it is supposed to be. No one wants to spend 1-2 months trying to finish the first league character. That's what standard is for. That about wraps up my 2 week experience thus far. It's a bouncy post I realize but trying not to vomit the information out is quite difficult. Also, I'm super sick of running out of regal/alch orb's because they're almost as rare to drop as high-end currency. But I guess you can do REGAL SETS WOOO! Not. |

This changes are actually good... But for me it's still not enough. I still would love to see more nerfs to rares even if you would need to lower rewards from them. I want to have that. Yeas I want to have loot distributed more across game rather than get it from one lucky mob. It doesn't feel like POE for me. I still hope for loot 2.0 for rare items :) I want to have at least some fun when I identify rare item. Bruh, remove 80% of rare items and give them talisman rolls when they were fun. " At times like this I wonder about real numbers. Like it tells me absolutely nothing. It's 1%->1.5%? Or 0.0001->0.00015%? Why you can never state real numbers? :( Also why every single league we get all fun like league boss, fun mechanic ect is usually locked behind extremely low chance to get that? Shouldn't we get... You know... Fun? |

Please go back to the old harvest system. Personal harvest with all of the crafting options we had access to was better than not having them at all. I don't think that people would have asked for harvest to be tradable if they knew beforehand that they would have to sacrifice all of the crafts that were removed in 3.19.

General drops from the Lake are trash, no doubts about it. Im talking about stuff like weapons, armor, and jewellery. You sometimes get something like a fractured item, but they follow the convention of the other drops - trash. Maybe 1 in 50-100 is something you'll keep to craft some mid-game gear, but things that are truly awesome, it's like 1 in a 1000. But otherwise, the only reason to pick up the general gear drops in the Lake is to vendor them. The only good general drops (relatively speaking) are the currency, divination, and gem drops. Currency is obvious, though the drops are too cheap. Sure you have some people who play either bonkers difficulty, lvl 83 lakes and might get a divine or two once in a while, but for the grand majority its eithe chaos, with an exalt being a lucky drop. Divination cards are okay too, the chest shows up rarely, but the rewards are sometimes worth a couple chaos, or accumulate into something worth a few c. Generally, something that will eventually be a pay-off. Gems often drop qualitied, so Gemcutter's Prism fodder. "Harvest crafting" It sucks. Sure, you can buy lifeforce, and higher-level crafts are more "easily" available (hilariously overexpensive). But the drops are trash, again. Who thought it was a good idea to make the plots NOT DROP ANY LIFEFORCE SOMETIMES?! And the amount you get is too pitiful. Even without speccing into Harvest, when you got it back in 3.18, you easily got like 10 crafts minimum, PER PLOT. Now you get far less from the whole 4 plots. Also, by making the low-end crafts costly, and in the same currency as the more expensive crafts, do you think people will actually use them? No, they'll either save their lifeforce, or sell it. So back then we could just go into Harvest, save the occasional rarer craft, and spend the other crafts on things like jewels, and get a good one after a few dozen rerolls. But it's just not worth it anymore. |
