I've tried everything and it keeps crashing.

the file integrity check from steam and epic ignores "Content.ggpk".
to fix errors in that file run "PackCheck.exe", which is located in your PoE folder. has fixed my problems and i hope will yours too. Live your life, you got only one.

I had the discord crash issue which got resolved by turning off hardware acceleration in discord settings. I hope this helps some if not all.

The game keeps crashing on the maps and when delving.
I have 600+ hours in this game on Steam alone (hundreds more outside of Steam) and have being playing on and off for a few years. I never had any problems with my old GTX 970. With the PoE2 hype I reinstalled the game and was having a good time with the Settlers of Kalguur League until I got to the endgame after an update a month or so ago. Now, it's almost unplayable due to the constant crashes. My current computer is a i513600K/GTX 2060, 32GB RAM (Win 11 24H2, Steam). I know it isn't a beast but it works fine with everything else. I tried a bunch of the fixes people suggested; updated the bios, drives, Windows and so on. I changed multiple graphic and audio settings. Nothing works. The game keeps crashing. I read that this may be a memory issue, but I checked and everything seems to be fine. I also checked file integrity with Steam, deleted folders and ini files a number of times, and so on. I know that I'm missing many of the thousands of ideas people have been suggesting in the forums, but the solutions seem so random.... I also know that GGG is currently busy with PoE2, but someone there should be taking a look at this problem. The game is unplayable for many people. I bought some of their microtransactions in the past and also bought their PoE2 early access pack. I really hope the launch isn't a disaster, but I bet that we won't have our money back if PoE2 turns out to be unplayable like PoE. Come on, GGG. Please help us actually play your game! |

Happens to me as well and just crash-ripped :/ pretty over it. I run the game borderless window mode RTX3080, Win10, Updated drivers earlier today. I've tried all rendering modes (DX12 seems to be less prone to crash). It's reasonably rare, occurs non-consecutively within 10-15 hours of playing at a time.
Event viewer is clean outside logging a dirty shutdown. Essentially full the screen freezes / mouse locks up, audio keeps going, keyboard inputs don't work. I hard reset within a second but alas the char is gone. Doesn't seem to happen with other games or media running. Last edited by AmpegV4#2473 on Dec 7, 2024, 7:59:11 AM
