[3.19] The Orbital Striker Occultist - Hexblast Chaos Ignites leaguestarter to endgame
" Yeah basically |
Is there a good or at least decent-ish alternative to magna eclipses that's still a shield? I absolutely detest the aura effect of it
" if you go forbidden flesh/flame you can run 2 weapons instead |
what would be a good substitute for impresence as the chaos variant currently runs for a little over a divine?
Please update this guide :-)

" it is updated? |

" I'm running a double wand setup without a shield at level 89 - around 3.78k HP pool and surviving well into T16's... Just killed my first elder guardian with 1 death (cos i'm a fool), but seems really playable considering I don't have doppelganger. |
That's good to know, and I'll probably opt into a dual wand setup but for now I'd like to use a shield. I don't use shields ever, but I have a pretty cool shield skin and would like to use one :) Unfortunately, the Magna's barrier effect really Fs with my overall theme, so I'd like an alternative from you fellas who actually know items and what they do hah

" There's a skin for magna eclipsis in the kirak's vault that turns the aura black and white, if that's more your thing. Otherwise no, sadly you can't remove the bubble, I hated it a bit too. For a shield, you can swap things around a bit for more damage and less tankyness by using Qotra's Regulator, extremely slept on unique. However, you'll need to invest into crit a little bit (~20% chance should be fine, which is boots enchant and one 100% roll on weapon) and take elemental overload to actually proc it. Imo it's a LOT of micromanaging, I'm not too keen on it. Otherwise, a good life+es rare shield with fire/chaos damage would do okay, too. No need for complex interactions. |
" Good to know I'm not the only one disliking the effect of the barrier. I'll stick to Magna for now. I'm still working on getting a helmet and a doppelganger anyway. Thanks for the tips though :) I'm liking the build a lot so far, especially because I'm a sucker for items or perks altering the effect of skills, in this case making the ignite effect purple. |
