I get above 165+ with it off. I got nearly triple that with it on but got stutter.

Did you try to use vsync or set an fps cap ? (60,100 or 144 for example)

Just adding my own experience here. Similar to everyone else I've tried EVERYTHING I could think of. Eventually turning off multi-threading fixed the freeze-up/stuttering. (it did drop FPS from ~155 down to 45-60)

Hardware info in case that helps GGG
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor (no overclock)
32GB DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800)
Windows 11 (Build 22000.493)
3x Monitors (Primary 2560x1440, 2x 1920x1080) Only user primary for PoE
RTX 2070 Super
I realize this is an old post but I figured out a better fix..

Go to the POE Directory - Fine the file "PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe"

Right click and add it as a shortcut to your desktop. The Run the game using this file.. It forces the game into 64 bit which cleared all the stuttering for me.

Good luck!
I just tried switching my graphics driver to VULKAN (in-game) and it worked!

I was having constant 1-5s full-screen-freezes whenever a lot of mobs got on the screen. Was unplayable.
That was using DX11.

My rig is a custom built beast that can run any game out right now at 30-60fps no problem on maxxed.
Except POE.

Played for over 11 years now though and I expect this kind of mediocre programming from GGG so its no surprise.
A wonder that VULKAN driver can run so smooth while they cant program DX correctly??? Strange....but happy its working.
Try it - hope you find a solution.

I'm getting the same kind of lag its not my pc because the same "lag" happens on my ps5. Its so frustrating because it doesn't always happen but when it does it consistent and gets so bad it'll freeze. I've tested my internet speed while playing and its always over 500mbps. Its so frustrating because the rare times its butter smooth it feels soo good.

You need an SSD.

Also, what do you mean 1.1mb connection? 1.1Mbit? 1.1 Mbps?

PoE needs an extremely solid connection, but it doesn't use a lot of bandwidth. It's extremely sensitive to packet loss.

Not sure if you actually only have 1.1 Mbps, I don't think that's enough.
Just tried everyhing mentioned in here. Same problem, nothing helped.

3080 Extreme Watercooled, m.2 SSD, 32gig ram, 100mbit fiber connection (3-5ms)

Trying to reach constant 60 fps with 2k at least. But not even get em in 1080p, not even talking about 4k.
Running in 64bit fixed my lag/stutter issue i now see the mobs and can dodge them in time as they enter the screen and spawn in WOOHOO! Thanks!
