Righteous Fire

The way the skill looks and acts almost makes it feel like it should be affected by Increased Radius of Auras instead of Increased Area of Effect.

it is a buff not an aura but go ahead and try what i did below but for the aura size increases.


good news! ok sorta... the picture explains most of this info update. excuse the size... you'll get enough info even if it gets cut off.
a monster has to have the center of its body inside the ring to take damage.



this info is obvious to most people but a visual seemed to be necessary. AoE barely increases it obviously but there is a very noticeable effect. additionally, righteous fire is one of the only skills i know of that visually change in size other than curses (which devs already said would show range differences).
Wow that range is terrible. Even with all those boosts it isn't even close to a level 1 nova.

but it shows that AoE boosts aren't that worthless at least, just not when you go to my extreme. the templar's +18 is enough for a reaction and will support other skills you use just fine, specially if they are spells and you are maintaining righteous fire.
Very nice work, soul4hdwn. I think this just goes to show that it could be changed to use the Aura passives without breaking the skill.

it can? i said go ahead and try (as in i can't yet till next patch or character). if it is affected by aura AoE boosts, then it'll be more... comfortable to increase its size.
I wish those divinarius's still dropped as relying mostly on burning with it, They are the only weapons that have useful a combination of mods. I've struggled finding anything useful...

The other frustration is the lack of useful supports for the spell itself.

No. What I mean is that GGG could change the skill to be an aura without making it OP. It would make the radius easier to level without breaking it.

As an aura, the following would change:

Positive nodes:

+ Aura radius
? Mana reserve nodes ???

No benefit:

+ Fire damage
+ Burning damage
+ Spell damage
+ AoE

I don't think that changing it into an aura would benefit the skill much. :/
