Development Manifesto: Harvest Crafting

stop pay streamers so spread some bullshit information about that harvest will be still strong.
I'm thinking about that couple days .
Fire exalted orbs etc it NOT an answer to the problem . Because of Scammers . TFT somehow protects from them by vouch system . The only solution I see it's just to make Harvest crafts personal . U slam craft and u cannot trade item . For me - it's a good thing . U can make gear for yourself , but u can't get rich by doin it. So the smart people who want to learn will get their stuff for themselves .

The reason I haven't played this league as much as other leagues was due to Harvest being implemented in this one.

So thanks for nerfing Harvest !

Players will have to relearn how to use currency items and I'm all for it !

How to trade currency for items you mean.

This

Why would I use a regular Exalted/Divine/Annul Orb when I can get one through Harvest that has a deterministic result?"

I'M 4 YEARS MORE PLAYER

2 A 4 EXALTEDS USED IN ITENS ALONG ALL TIME PLAYED

Let me sum up most of the posts here into 2 categories. First category is the alternative suggestions to GGG action. Second category is who is the party affected ( incl GGG ).

Alternative suggestions ( incl GGG proposal ). Below list are the few main ones I came across.
1. Account-bound or soul-bound
2. Put a cost to each Harvest
3. Remove top tier mods or top influence mods
4. Max T3 level mods and cannot have T1 or T2
5. Have Harvest orb so it is transferable
6. Make Harvest occurence very rare ie 1 in every 100 maps
7. No change to Harvest
8. GGG manifesto

2nd category are the parties involved.
A. SSF players
B. Trade league softcore who actively use TFT ( mainly to sell crafts )
C. Trade league softcore who hardly/never use TFT
D. Standard league players
E. Ultra rich or streamers or no-lifer players
F. GGG and pro-nerf players

Now you go over each group of people and see what they want/don't want and which alternatives affects them.

For group A. Mostly advocate or supports scenario 1 ( account-bound ). They are somewhat ok with scenario 2 as they just need to farm a little more to do it. OK with scenario 3 as well as SSF generally wont get 6 T1 influenced mods. Slight negative to scenario 4 as they feel it makes Harvest redundant. No effect to them for scenario 5. Hated scenario 6 and love scenario 7. Unfortunately screwed on scenario 8.

For group B. Start WW3 if it is account-bound as that is their main reason for Harvest. Scenario 2 or 3 affects them as well as it is a lot harder for them to trade. Scenario 4 is useless to them. Loves scenario 5 as another avenue besides TFT. Hated scenario 6 and loves scenario 7. Screwed on scenario 8.

For group C. OK with scenario 1 and 2. Small negative on scenario 3 but can live with it. Scenario 4 is useless crafting to everyone. Happy with scenario 5 and 7 but hated scenario 6. Affected but not as much as group A and B.

For group D. This group usually do not use TFT and craft themselves a bit similar to group C above in preferences.

For group E. This group dislike scenario 1 as they cannot buy as much craft as they want. These are the headhunters group where they farm currencies and not farm Harvest craft. Scenario 2 no issue for them. Scenario 3 and 4 are big no no for them. They will be happy with scenario 5 and 7. Can live with scenario 6 as they can still find someone out there selling craft. Affected by scenario 8 as more planning and cost needed plus not all T1 mods available to them.

For group F. Scenario 1 is not as easy to implement as it sound. Millions of items with extra tag on them. Thought of scenario 2 but the masses will blame them for favouring the ultra rich. Scenario 3 is almost similar to what they are doing just slightly different. Scenario 4 everyone hated it as it will be useless. Scenario 5 and 7 won't make the whole issue GGG is trying to solve go away. Scenario 6 is still a nerf and they will still get blame for it.

I believe the big worry for GGG is not to allow Harvest to overshadow every single mechanic out there. Assuming they do not change anything, the masses will be spending a lot more time in Harvest than whatever new league mechanic they are putting out come April. And the same will be true in July and Oct. It is very hard to come up with any new mechanic that can take the players time away from Harvest if it remains in the present form. The time spend on Harvest need to the similar to the time spent on every other league mechanic and not 1 overshadow the rest. Yes they can buff up the others to make it attractive and imagine if they do that and keep Harvest the same, they need to introduce new bosses that are 10x stronger than Maven just to keep the players engaged and not zoom-zoom everything.

So whichever group you fall into above, if you can have any solution that makes every single group happy...by all means do share.
