Our Reasoning Behind the 3.13 Launch Delay

You "F-word" tell them kids Chris!

Completely fine with the delay myself.
Plenty of things to do ingame as it is.

Get some rest GGG; and recharge them batteries.
They could learn something from a great company that delays their game so that this current generation of consoles can run the game without problems. THIS IS THE GREAT COMPANIES CD PROJEKT RED
The honesty, transparency, and fairness you provide to your player base is an example for all game developers. Keep up the good work!
yatıcak yerin yok Chris
i know and understand ur motivations about why u decided to delay it, but u are telling me that if they are gonna delay another time Cyberpunk for another month,(that is possible since they delayed it already 4 times i suppose?), u will delay ur new league of another month, again?. I mean u didn't delay the current league, where there were nothing ready literally. At least we will be sure that u won't relase the next league, like u did with this one, without anything ready to be released.
I am fine with this.

I am just a little sad I will have to wait longer for new mystery boxes HAHA ;)
Your game your decision.
Always appreciating the transparency. Much love to the staff at GGG!

So... you're confirming that the reason the leagues have been shit for up to a month after launch is because of the decision years ago to cut the development cycle from 4 months to 3 months.

Instead of spending a month testing a complete league, you spend zero time testing a league and wait for all your paying customers to do the testing for you.

It also gives us a month more time for quality assurance, and probably means that we can actually use our Alpha realm for its intended purpose. Alpha testers aren't allowed to talk about what they see on Alpha, but the state of the game at that point is usually a bit of a shitshow. I think we only managed to get one actual league up and playable this year before its release. That will change if we have this extra month between completion of the expansion and its release.

People seem to have really overlooked that statement. That is confirmation that no testing has been done on 3 out of the last 4 leagues, and that they were launched in an unplayable state. How is that acceptable? I really wish there was regulation in the gaming industry. Imagine releasing an aeroplane and not having tested it, all because you didn't have time to and needed the revenue asap. An extreme comparison I know, but it illustrates the point.

Yet all the gushing comments on here, its almost like Stockholm syndrome, the blind faith people have in the game, its crazy.

I even saw a comment previously that said they didnt care what state the leagues are released in, they love GGG so much. That view is not ok, and it leads to poor products.

I'm not a negative Nelly, whilst I am not happy with the postponement or the precident it sets, I do understand, and I think this second post was much better than the first.

But people need to stop being so accepting of poor quality just because you love the company. Not testing, and releasing unplayable content (GGGs words not mine) is completely unnaceptable.

more damage control...
sigh

was the f-bomb profanity necessary in an offical post, though?

all in all this whole fiasco stinks of chris not having trust or confidence in this game... you just keep advertising cyberfunk as if you want poe players to go play that game instead

That's what you took from that wall of apology?
And so what of the "f-bomb"? You kill shit in a virtual world.

For me - Chris's words were candid, felt honest and well received.

As far as wanting us to play Cyberpunk - really? Only someone shortsighted would not see that the game has spent a shit ton of advertising dollars and has a huge following just waiting for the release. Been the most talked about game in a very long time. Sure GGG needs to recognize this.

Thanks Chris!
