fully baked as in baked 10 times?! a T10 map?
Holy cow, I already feel impatient to cook a T1 map once... :P
Some content creators say it's better to cook low tier maps for the time/profit ratio, so I've been cooking T1 maps.
The wording I used is confusing.
It was a tier 10 scourge (baked ten times in the oven). The map itself was Tier 1 (white). They should have used a different name for baking the levels. :)
I agree to only bake low level maps to high scourge tiers. Some of the down sides of fully baked maps would be nuts in late yellow/early red maps. Even with our tank I would not attempt that.

SO just wanted to say thank you all for this.
awesome and welcome to the thread! The build is a blast. Please feel free to ask any questions you have. One of us will be helpful :)

The only big issues for us are really 300+ degen in nightmare, -40 reduced block and more, and probably dmg+100 and higher. I completed an alched (no crazy juice) t12 map on scourge10, and was able to clear both worlds completely, but it does take a huge amount of time to bake, so I mostly bake t1 once to see if the reward is good. If not, I run it and bake another one

Great build. I'm running the ele version and it is without a doubt the tankiest caster I've played. I've died once from maps up to T15 and that's because I had accidently weapon swapped! Face tanking everything. Face tanking all conquerors, face tanking 150+ corruption scourges packs in reds, I dont even look at map mods anymore except for reduced block or zero regen.
Just wanted to provide some feedback on what I've found so far. For me personally I only count damage and damage mods as though I'm fighting awakener. So if I can't have it active every time I'm hitting him, I don't count it. That includes stuff like vaal skills and flasks. This is where I was having an issue with EO and controlled destruction. It was just never proccing, even on huge packs it wouldn't proc and may as well have not even been there.
I ended up swapping controlled destruction for conc. effect. I then chucked inc. aoe on my infernal cry while I also run herald of ash. I found absolutely no difference in clear speed. Infernal cry + increased aoe legitimately clips everything on the screen and blows up mobs offscreen. I don't even cast incinerate a lot of the time, tempest shield with infernal cry and HoA chain blows-up the entire screen.
To compensate for the gem socket loss, I'm actually going to ditch whispers of doom and ele weakness because it only gives 8.2% dmg according to PoB against awakener, instead I'm anointing disciple of slaughter (7.3%) for a 0.9% dmg loss, but its permanent. Permanent, 100% uptime dmg that works on curse immunity.
So currently without having:
Vall RF, flasks, empower, +1 skin, medium clusters, unnatural instinct, awakened gems, quality gems or even level 20 gems
I'm sitting at 1.5 mil Awakener 9 dps. That's damage that's 100% available assuming 10 stacks, it also means EO is up 100 of the time%
It still allows me to run HoA, Discipline, Determination, Tempest shield and Defiance banner.
If I get +1 skin, Empower 4, awakened and quality gems and medium clusters the damage is 3.5 mil, again that's reliable, 100% uptime damage. Anyway that's just where I'm at with the build and how I got around the EO + controlled destruction issue in a way that works for me personally.
Anyway, great build and great thread.

This is what I am doing too (not my idea, it seems like most of the streamers have recommended this approach).
Ready to run my second one now and it is juicy. Hope for good drops! Empower 4 is still a long way aways :)

Fantastic stuff!! I love many of your ideas. I continued to be concerned about lack of Elemental Overload too. It only procs sporadically when mapping. Not enough to get a good feel for it.
I have been thinking of trying CE again. Increased AOE on IC is very interesting.
Infernal Cry to me is the key to the build offensively. Scourge would be so woeful with out it. Blowing up 2+ screens each time in nightmare assures the Scourge count to increase nicely.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and findings. I am very interested in adding Frenzy charges and I can't fit them into my rings yet so I was debating between Swagger and Disciple of Slaughter.
The idea that some bosses and monsters are curse immune does make an interesting case to stay with one curse and replace the second curse with constant damage from Frenzy. The only small problem with Disciple of Slaughter is that we will only have 1 frenzy charge against bosses. During mapping we should be at a 3 quite often.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to see if there was any anoint worth taking that would give us significantly more up time for IC but I don't think there is. This is the best one I think but I don't think that cool down rate allows for significantly more up time.
Deep Breaths: 30% increased Warcry Cooldown Recovery Rate, Warcry Skills have 30% increased AOE

Honestly, during mapping you don't need the 3 frenzy charges. The move speed doesn't do anything and all mobs get 1-tapped by infernal cry or die to 1-2 stacks of incinerate. Realistically, 2 frenzy charges against a map boss means you kill it in 9 seconds instead of 10?

That's huge though. That takes infernal cry down to something like 5.5 seconds. That would be very close to 100% uptime.

WAAA thanks!! I didn't realize I could add a increase AOE for infernal warcry, huge QOL and mapping speed there. Just tried.

I tried it as well and it is amazing.
Having 100% up time on Elemental Overload with Concentrated Effect AND better AOE seems like a perfect match.
