[3.17] Wallach's Hierophant Freezing Pulse Totems (No Further Updates)
" +1 :D i hate flask piano, multi-precast etc. as well still wonder about divergent dash, is it that nice QOL? got one in stash lying around, worth 30c ... did not sell it so far as i remember many use it ...
Hello. Ty for this guide.
What improvements are we trying to find on a Brutal Restraint jewel, couldn't find that in the build?
Can someone take a look at my character, and tell me what my next few steps are for improvement? Thank you.

" From the "High Budget Gearing Options" Section:
Spoiler
This jewel when socketed in the northern-most jewel socket (just to the left of Prodigal Perfection) will grant large amounts of Dexterity by adding +2-4 Dexterity to every minor node in radius. In addition, random bonuses will be added to every allocated notable within its' radius, which can add up to be even more damage than the Clear Mind it is replacing, or grant you defensive bonuses like maximum life or movement speed. These bonuses allocated to notables are random however, which means you may need to spend a significant amount of Divine Orbs to reroll the random notable bonuses until you find one good enough to replace your Clear Mind. Note that you do not care what "name" is associated with the jewel; any Brutal Restraint will serve our purposes because we are not using the jewel to transform a keystone.
Seems like this is more of thing to get if you need the dex or get really lucky with the rolls to make up for removal of Clear Mind. Not even sure if it'd be worth it to pursue this unless you're hardcore min/maxing.
" A lot of your stuff looks good. You could still go for the FP +30% projectile speed enchant on your helm. You could get gloves with +% increased damage against chilled enemies. I'm not sure of the DPS on your cluster jewels but you could probably replace 1 with a Watcher's Eye with a hatred mod. I think you're at the point now where you could consider getting an Awakened Hextouch gem and switch your helm setup to Awakened Hextouch (lvl 5 for double curse) + Hydrosphere + Elemental Weakness + Frostbite and swap your arcane surge to proc off something else like your flame dash and drop Sniper's Mark. Also I know it'd be hard to replace since your wands have + cold skills and + spell skills but they have fairly low spell dmg % rolls and the trigger one doesn't have any crit multi. You'd probably have to sim it out on PoB to see what is better. Might be worth it to drop the trigger craft for crit multi and just self cast stuff. Lastly you could look for First Snow jewels w/ You cannot be Hindered and Corrupted Blood can not be inflicted on you implicits. You have silence immunity right now. Does anyone know if we are already immune to silence from hex immunity? Last edited by etherel90 on Apr 29, 2021, 5:42:09 PM

How are people getting such high hideout DPS?! I'm far from min-maxed but I'm getting close to the end of the easy, incremental upgrades (minus a hatred watcher's eye), and I'm only at ~85k hideout DPS.

" To illustrate my point on quickly phasing bosses so they don't get a chance to use their annoying skills, here's a typical A9 Maven clear with more focus on offense. FP Totems are incredibly well suited for this fight, and farming Maven Orbs has been (and still is?) very lucrative. Since Conquerors take full effect of curses, this setup is pretty good at sniping them too.
I have used up my fusing orbs and ended up 5 link. Among 6 skill gems, which one should I unlink in body armor? Thank you in advance.

" I've been trying to find a good setup for Arcane Surge but I can't find one that's good QoL (doesn't need to be used multiple times to gain the surge, quick to cast, low or no cooldown) and useful. The easiest way is as Wallach has recommended -- linking it to our Hexes is quick, and costs enough for a high lvl Arcane Surge to make use of the MORE spell damage effect. However, given that we're running our hexes with Hextouch, I had to consider other skills. The first that came to mind was to drop Steelskin, and run Arcane Cloak. Though the bonus Lightning damage is close to useless for us, Arcane Cloak itself can shield us for nearly 1,300 HP for 3 seconds. Given that it spends 67% of our mana (around 1.3k mana if the total pool is 2k), we can link this to a level 22 Arcane Surge (+2 in Viridi's Veil) for a whopping 21% MORE spell damage. This will proc easily on every cast. The downside is that its cooldown only starts refreshing after the buff is over. This means that even when paired with Less Duration support, Arcane Cloak will take longer than 6 seconds to be ready each cycle. Because of this, I decided to look elsewhere. I moved on to Frostshield for its utility. It drains what little ES we have when we are in its area, but that hardly bothers me because of how little ES we have to begin with, and this meagre ES of ours does not have time to start recharge during encounters like Ultimatum. At level 21 (+4 from gear), and paired with a 140% mana multiplier like increased AOE, the mana cost is only 109. This forces us to run a low level 12 Arcane Surge for its 16% MORE spell damage. Because I'm using a divergent Arcane Surge, each proc lasts for 6 seconds. The cooldown cycle for Frostshield is 5 seconds, so it can be up all the time, except when you choose the increased cooldown debuff during Ultimatums. I'm still undecided on this setup. While it provides a shell (it has around 1.2k HP at stage 1) and raw spell Critical Strike Chance (0.43% per stage), the AOE is pathetic unless we're setting up for a boss fight, or playing Stone Circles. The biggest upside IMO is that you can stick an eraser in the key bound to Frost Shield and it will keep your Arcane Surge up without having to think about it again. Yes, I'm that lazy.
