Hey,

thanks a lot for the info! So yeah I still have some questions, I just switched from spectre necro and am still brand new to the build. I bought a starter set of gear but I'm dealing absolutely no damage somehow, especially against map bosses and metamorphs. I have like no single target dmg when there are no adds around. Also it seems like I barely have all offerings up and my ball lightning also isnt proccing as often as it looks like in your videos. What am I doing wrong? Do I have wrong gem linkings? Am I using wrong skills?
Also, which auras do I have to use? I only can use 2 auras, how do you manage to have anger, herald of ash, and discipline up at the same time?
I feel like I'm missing a core aspect of the build which would enable me to kill things much faster. I was doing T15-16s before and now I cant even kill a T5 metamorph anymore because of no dmg.

Would be really glad and thankful if you could help me out a little, here is my current gear:

I know it's not optimal yet but this stuff is worth like 6 Ex and that should allow me to at least do red maps shouldnt it?... Hope you can help me out, thanks a lot in advance!

Well, it is mentioned above me but, here goes:

Your CWDT setups are a mess. You need a low level desecrate to proc off of CWDT (currently lvl 1 CWDT and a level 20 desecrate...this is a no-go)

There are similar CWDT issues elsewhere. Start by fixing these. Remember, you can only proc spells on CWDT that have the same or lower required level.

And I have made this update but only this morning so w/e. Drop Leash of Oblation until you have a chest with increased effect of offerings. Without that mod undoing the downside of the belt it's just too much of a hassle to maintain for most people. A rare with life+ES+Resists is perfectly fine.

Also, I cannot stress this enough, you need to get a second source of ES recovery.

Boots+Aspect of the Spider is the cheapest way to get excellent ES on hit recovery. A Discipline ES on hit Watcher's Eye is ideal though if you can afford to drop 10ex on one.
Managed to kill Awakener lvl 4 after my first attempt, where I failed big time.
Can sometimes be difficult to see stuff on the ground, but not to bad.
This build can handle him well I think.

Ok. This is epic.

Added a note in the gear section regarding Cooldown Recovery

where can I find this note? is it worth having cooldown recovery on equip? if so, what would be the required value?

btw, really enjoying this build. blasting through maps and shaper and uber elder are a joke :D

Ah! Sorry, I was gone for a day and didn't get to everyone via phone.

This is in reference to my original take on the build when it was self cast and the casts per second was limited to CWDT Cooldown. Pay it no heed.
For anyone wondering about the crafting process:

I spent about 4-5k alts looking for CWC and one of the following (all t1 obviously)

power charge hybrid mod
flat fire to spells
increased fire
increased spell
increased spellcrit
supported by arcane surge
+2 or +3 fire gems
socketed spells deal 20% more damage

when i hit something good i always regaled, it doesnt matter if the second mod on the blue item is shit, ALWAYS TRY.

I did buy the chimeral for the modsplit, but I never hit a good blue.
I ended up with CWC lvl 20 and T1 Spellcrit (after annulling of a shitty mod).
So for now, I only have 2 + 3 crafted mods, but I will probably slam it with one of those new exalted orbs at some point, right now I dont have the money for that.
I'm not trying to scare you away with the 4-5k alts, because you consistently hit CWC. I would say probably every 2-3 hundred, its not that bad. I was probably just unlucky with hitting another good mod, since there are 6 of them. Neverless, crafting is always fun and if you have the budget, you should go for it.

Lets see what this thing can do bois.

Very cool! Hunter Exalt for Unnerve on hit would be pretty sweet. Redeemer can get Block or Spell block (up to 15% spell block would be wonderful)

There's some other cool ones. Do your research :D

Also:
3.9 Elder Fight
Gryph - your build guide has allowed me to progress for the first time in the 3 leagues that I have played! Also, the new atlas has helped as well,

I looked at your latest POB and made changes to my build and it feels smoother than the 3.8 POB I was using until yesterday.

I have a few question below. I'm not sure how to link my character, but maybe you could find it.

1. I'm running into mana issues now while running aspect of the spider, discipline and herald of ash. Even if I take off asepct of the spider, I still go OOM during boss encounters fairly easily. Anything I can improve on here?

2. I ran into my first 4 watchstone boss. He wrecked me - I just don't think I have the defenses or the damage to beat these guys now. Same as above; anything I can improve on here?

The simple Answer to the mana problem is to get

For mapping and most bosses this is good enough to keep your mana topped off. Ideally you want to get the "X% of Damage taken gained as mana over 4 secodns" mod on either jewelry or a watcher's eye (clarity mod)

Example

Getting a chest with increased effect of offerings will boost your defenses quite a bit (also leveling your bone offering more).

a 6th link will ofc grant more damage. But generally I think surviving the fights with better defense and mana sustain will help more.

Throatseeker (3 points) will give a nice damage boost.

Anointing an amulet with Charging Offensive will give 3 Frenzy Endurance charges for 12% more damage and 12% phys mitigation. I suggest getting an amulet with more life and increased ES% before investing a silver oil.

Hope this helps!
Hey just killed shaper with this build so happy! So im trying to experiment a bit can u tell me if this setup works??

I wanted to take out the flesh and bone offerings as i cant get the chest with offering and spell crit on it

i also wanted the corruped blood jewel.

Lastly i got this ring

Do i only need to put in the whispers of doom passive and i should be able to use ass mark and this ?

Thank you for the build and the help =]

Hi! I'm playing this build and it feels really great (killed awakener deathless with it) but i can't really understand how to reach at least half of your 3.8 character damage.
All i can do is 400k hit.

Could you please check my character and let me know what i'm exactly missing and should aim for? I thought i can reach at least 600-700k with hit on Martyr staff.

Character name is "TrapOneeChan" Pob (https://pastebin.com/tPkeutwj)

Animated guardian setup is same that you had in 3.8 with kingmaker and cortex armor.
Spectres i use is one with prox shield and second with flammability curse (act 3 Ash Caller from Crematorium)

Legion jewel gives:
+60 to dexterity
5% attack and cast speed
8% maximum life
20% increased elemental damage
Minions deal 20% increased damage
10% increased effect of Non-Curse auras from your skills
