The 40% less damage on them sure pushed them that way, however i still think the vaal skelly combo with regular ones is strong for bosses etc.
we will keep using the baron? cause give 750 str to minions (150% dmg and 150 hp) plus 3 zombies and 1.5% leech

Yes the baron still seems to be the way to go due to your minions getting quite abit of strength from the helm, buffing their damage quite abit. Even in its nerfed form its really strong ^^
hey man. why your pob resistance so low. Fire 58 cold 40 lightning 67 ?

Spirit offering still offers 30% chao res if spec Mistress of Sacrifice
SO also has minion gain 29% of phys to chaos dmg which would result in higher dps than brutality

In fact, we can drop bone barrier for commander of darkness and replace those stats on tree and guard skill with VMS and staunching flask.
Just my opinion.
You are failing to see everything involved with physical vs chaos. It’s nowhere near 30% more damage.

Physical Damage * Pride * Impale * Increased Physical Damage Taken + 30% Physical Damage as Chaos * Increased Chaos Damage Taken.

I don’t have any actual numbers with me, but assume there is 100-200% more physical damage that isn’t converted to chaos. That makes the “30%” actually 10-15%. Pulling it up in an accurate PoB readout should show how this plays out. Not to mention there is significant value in the increased minion movement speed.

There was a skelly variant in 3.8, but they were pulled out completely in 3.9 due to too many bodies crowding around a target = some loitering around because they don’t fit = massive dps loss. A 40% overall dps nerf...they definitely aren’t worth adding in.

I really do think I want to personally look into the Corpse Pact and socketing LoH Support into Cyclone. I think that should net somewhere around 800-1000 lps per target from the support gem. Hopefully I’ll be able to look into things more.

I’m also wondering about this combination Bubonic Trail + Cyclone/Desecrate/Spell Cascade/LoH/Fortify/Maim. I’m not sure about the range, but a L5 ACWC will drop 117 corpses in a 4 second duration. That equates to 234% increased attack speed if the range of the boots consumes all corpses. For clearing that would make LS ridiculous, even if you never actually maintained the full amount of corpses consumed. It would largely negate any value from plaguebringer though :/.

...I need to stop, because now I’m thinking about Soulwrest builds again...give them a .6 second life span. I’m cruel to the bone.

Edit: Dumb me failed to realize Bubonic Trail explodes corpses, not consume them. Purifying Flame on the CWC setup could be viable as well. Then we could go 3 curses with ACOH.

Hey, is it better to change mistress of sacrifice now?

My recommendation is to use the rare and elusive skill of reading. Half the posts in the last 2-3 pages discuss that very question.

Wait, Bubonic Trail works with Soulwrest, and Soulwrest has the same wording, it has "consume a corpse". However, Bubonic Trail does not work with Cyclone (or Leap Slam), you need to WALK over the corpses to explode (and so consume) them.

You are right. I suppose the next best thing is to Desecrate with 2 offerings on a self damage setup, and that is just stupid.
When crafting amulets, I think +1 level to intellect gems will be something we'll want. Looking at Raise Zombie, I'm guessing L31 will offer the 9th zombie. If you notice the gem now levels 1-4 offer 3 zombies, and thereafter you get 1 every 5 levels, so I'm guessing they just made it 1 every 5 levels from the getgo.

I’m not sure what everyone else plans on doing about cluster jewels, but I’d like:

Enduring Focus
Channelling Skills deal 25% increased Damage
25% chance to gain an Endurance Charge each second while Channelling

Vicious Bite
Minions have 50% increased Critical Strike Chance
Raised Spectres, Raised Zombies, and Summoned Skeletons have +50% to Critical Strike Multiplier

Rotten Claws
Minions have a 20% chance to Impale on Hit with Attacks

Master of Command
50% reduced Mana Reservation of Banner Skills
15% increased Effect of Non-Curse Auras from your Skills on Enemies

Wall of Muscle
6% increased maximum Life
5% increased Strength

Obviously a lot of it is depending on me correctly guessing which size notables will be in, but I think going 1 of each size will be worth the investment from elsewhere, and the likelihood of getting all the goodies from a large jewel is pretty slim, but I’m hoping. I think we can afford the investment for 1 of each. Both Vicious Bites and Rotten Claws should each net over 10% more dps if my quick-tired math is right. Master of Command is worth its investment in pure reduced reservation.
