Many low-level melee weapon basetypes have had their base attack speed raised and their damage lowered to compensate.
The following staves can no longer roll spell-based mods such as added damage for spells or increased spell damage. Their base attack speeds have been slightly increased, and their damage decreased to compensate. These changes affect all existing versions of these basetypes, though they will not affect the mods those items currently have. Also some level requirements have changed I guess? Anyway, here you go: Iron Staff, Coiled Staff, Vile Staff, Military Staff, Serpentine Staff, Foul Staff, Ezomyte Staff, Maelström Staff and Judgement Staff.
The above staves will be swapped to a new "War Staff" weapon class in the near future to help differentiate them.

They will continue to be able to roll both attack and caster modifiers: Glass Shank, Boot Knife, Copper Kris, Skean, Imp Dagger, Butcher Knife, Boot Blade, Golden Kris, Royal Skean, Fiend Dagger, Slaughter Knife, Ezomyte Dagger, Platinum Kris, Imperial Skean and Demon Dagger.


Which weapons? what values? kinda hard making loot filters when 0 information is given about base types.

Dual Strike and Lacerate seem juicy.

Well, my Herald of Agony Occultist just got destroyed. I guess having fun with a build is not something GGG can support for long. Some of the build's aspects I could agree were a bit overpowered, but this patch basically kills 75% of the character, making it pretty much useless. I love spending tons of hours on something, to have it completely destroyed negligently. :(

CYCLONE:
This skills gets a HUGE aoe AND added flat phys AND it will attack 4 times faster?? And it is a movement skill, (and also channeling) -This will be more powerfull than anything else out there - atleast on paper? What is up with that?? It will have more damage effectiveness that any other AOE skills as far as i can see - and it will have more- or the same as the "former" singletarget skills. What am i missing?


The Cyclone attack is EXACTLY the same as before :

Now has an attack speed multiplier of 300% (previously had 50% more attack speed).
Now it perform 1 attack at 300% speed, before it was 150%speed (100+50%) with 2 attacks each time.

1attack at 300% = 2 attacks at 150%

Did you really read ?

Now states that increases and reductions to cast speed now also apply to projectile frequency (actual behaviour is unchanged).
So this is information, nothing change about this part, its not a boost.

Now has a 20% reduced target acquisition range.
So it target 20% less far, so you need to move more, its a 20% less visibility area from the skill, its pretty noticeable

Now fires projectiles every 1.6 seconds (from every 0.8 seconds)
Now has 100% more projectile frequency while channelling.


So you fire 50% less projectile = 50% less damage UNLESS you are still/channeling, not moving. Moving with winter Orb activated is a 50% less DPS

Now gains 25% increased duration per stage (from +0.4 seconds to base duration per stage).
So you will be able to use it withou channeling, moving, for around 4-5seconds according to the duration you take from the tree, instead or around 10Seconds as before, so you need to stop moving and channel it twice more at least, = les clearspeed.

Its still usable but the nerf is real, making it good but not Nb1 i guess.


The Only hard and stupid nerf to the ground is the Occultist and ES nodes :S, nothing to compensate, just because 100ppl used over-synthesis ES craft (not anymore here anyway so it would have been back to normal..)
You killed this ascendency...

Meta change is good and welcome, but not at the cost ot cutting any other options/classes to force players into "melee"...

I was seeing this too, but i think when using the skill the shield will be seen as a weapon and the facebreaker would have no effect on it, so, no shield charge for facebreaker build..... I'm actually looking to see how Infernal Blow with is flat damage + flat damage and speed from from berzerker ascendency will do. I think it would do great damage even again 1 target with (Debuff deals 66% of Damage per Charge from the skill itself).....
