I also am having this issue.
There is also no mention of FMOD in the client.txt Pastebin for myself would be pointless as it reflects the above identically and we do not share hardware (Radeon 6900 gfx card) Currently trying a re-install but kept a backup of the files. (1) Please @ Shodokan123 Sonikozerg OZr4amateurs post your DXdiag txt report via a pastebin.com url document, so we know what PC specs we are dealing with
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081057 If you three have an 8 to 10-year-old gfx cards with DX11 first gen (DX11(.1)) and only 1 or 2GB of VRAM. This might be the very problem. GGG talked about in their DX9 sunset post that they will work on better DX11 support/features now that they are not held back by DX9. This new patch (even without it being in the patch notes) might have some changes in it that can not be run on first gen DX11 cards with only 1 or 2GB of VRAM. eg @ Shodokan123 your Radeon 6900 Series was launched Nov 2010. And the Wikipedia says "feature level" DX11_0 and came with no more than 2GB of RAM (except the 6990) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radeon_HD_6000_Series#Radeon_HD_6900 Several users have experienced problems with such old cards, that on paper support first gen DX11 but only have 1 or 2GB of VRAM: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2469227 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2468924#p21807742 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2467250#p21806290 If you want to buy just a new budget gfx card. Please consider an RX460 OEM for $50 USD ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwlriERJz94 & https://youtu.be/HXeMXsWKWCg ) Or a used AMD RX400/RX460 series from ebay under $100 with 4GB of VRAM. Anything higher will be bottlenecked by your very old CPU/Mobo/RAM. If you want to buy a new budget 1080p gaming PC, get a $500-600 USD AMD system. (2) delete the production_config.ini in My Games/My Documents/Path of Exile Delete as well the contents of temp/cache folder called Minimap Delete as well the cache folders in the path of exile installation folder ShaderCacheD3D11 ShaderCacheD3D11_GI CachedHLSLShaders And delete the contents of the logs folder. That doesn't make any sense when it worked fine yesterday and since the forced DX11 change. It even runs at almost 60 fps. So I'm not quite sure the GFX card is the culprit considering FMOD has to do with AUDIO and not graphics.
I appreciate the reply, but I don't think the graphics card has anything to do with the issue considering our peripherals do not match and are having the same issues. Edit: I will look into upgrading the card though, never hurts and for sub 100 it is a good idea. IGN: Srslyagain PM me bins on items I bid on if you have one. Says all my audio drivers are up to date. Yet am experiencing the same FMOD problem. My Laptop uses GTX 970M 3gb Vram

Go to your audio devices and disable whatever devices you currently have in your list. I had to disable my monitor speakers and my headphones to get it to work, but I was finally able to launch and play the game without getting the error.
