I m lvl 44, switched to ice nova-coc-cyclone-crit strike with 2 widowmaker
1500 life, unstable infusion and blasphemy with warlords

but now i keep dying all the dime at nearly every mob group while leveling.

how is this possible, what i am doing wrong?

You need more resists and more life/es. You have white gears still equipped, make yourself some rares using alchemy orbs or essences pray to rnjesus and hope you get some okay stuff.

Yeah, a updated Life based version for 3.6 would be appreciated if anyone has made or anything.

Thoughts on this?

1. Can still use Conc effect for damage as we should be es leech capped from tree nodes. Also taking the 2 extra easy AOE nodes near shadow increases damage.
2. We really want Ethereal Feast due to it raising the 10% es leech cap.
3. @Akkø I think we still use the life leech gem as we want all life sources to refresh quickly when we take a big hit.
4. MOM, not sure if it will work, but we have a lot more mana regen. Also have attack damage mana leech which will give something.

Personally I think MoM is not viable for this build.
Especially with new aura at our disposal, it's a waste not using aura.
Discipline + 50% aura already occupies 85% of our total mana.
Essence Wurm is not an option for our build either since we really need the damage boost of Mark of the Shaper.
I don't know if enfeeble still worth using after the nerf though.

Well thats not true. In fact I was playing in 3.5 Betrayal using CheeQu's Cospri's CoC Ice Nova with a twist - I succesfully converted it to Life + MoM version, providing raw 7k+ EHP with instant mana recovery thx to combination of some unique mechanics. Same thing that worked as a charm with my recent Witch Elementalist Mjolner build.

This is how Cospri's CoC Ice Nova Life+MoM was performing in 3.5 Betrayal (lvl 91 char, lvl 20 gems, no CDR, 2.99 APS in all of the vids):

Thx to Yoke's of Suffering "Your Elemental Damage can Shock" cold dmg from both Ice Nova and Frostbolt can shock.

As this is crit based build with basically capped crit chance - each spell trigger can shock. With 14% CDR and 3.7 aps this build triggers spells 14.8 (main chest Ice nova) + 7.4 (Cospri's Ice Nova) + 3.7 (Cospri's Frostbolt) = 25.9 times per sec. Lets assume it is 25 triggers per sec just to be safe.

Mind of the Council recovers 3% of maximum mana (which is instant mana recovery) whenever we shock an enemy. This works with allready shocked enemies.

All in all we apply 25 shock status ailments each second, granting 3% * 25 = 75% of our mana recovered instantly to ourselfs.

Now even if we discredit other spells except main chest Ice Nova vs Shaper/Guardian (due to low dmg not being able to apply shock on those big boys) we still shock at least 14 times per sec with our main Ice Nova, providing ourselfs with 14 * 3% = 42% of our mana recoverd instantly.

The only problem here is life sustain. So to improve it we can use 2x Shaper ring with 12-15 life recovered (again: instantly) per each spell hit or one of those rings with Vitality Watcher's eye (20-30 life gained on hit which works with spells as well).

Now ofcourse one can argue: Life + ES evasion based with blind (Pandemonius) vs Life + MoM with instant mana recovery.

DPS wise I think they are almost the same. Yoke provides 5% increased damage taken per each status ailment applied to enemies which translates to 10% more dmg (chill + shock) and at least +5% from shock itself for a total of 15% more dmg vs 20% more cold from Pandemonius. However imo Life + MoM is 7k+ EHP with less points invested - so theres more room for further dmg improvement.

Im not saying this one is better or worse. But its something to consider I think. All in all CheeQu has a final word here.

I successfully took this build from 1 to 65 using storm brand + blade vortex. It's still incredibly easy mode even without all the extra brand nodes. Successfully converted into CoC Nova at 66 with extremely budget gear. This build is very league start viable.
