When I encounter a 90% elemental ailment avoid map, it is a struggle to get through...not because the damage isn't there, but because I am seeing significantly less HoI procs and that, to me, is the whole fun of spark. Watching sparks fly through enemies and glaze over them to kill them is just not nearly as satisfying to me as HoI shatters.

Mhmm maybe we should stick with the Cotb and Herald of Ice... not sure I will do more testing as soon as I reach lvl 90 and better gear.

So when we get inpulsa we should switch those gems around and take off Cotb and take off Herald of ice? And I guess replace it with herald of thunder? Is that correct? If so is there anything else I should do?

Well from the feedback I get it is maybe better to stick with HoI and Cotb because the clearspeed is just better. I will test it when I reached lvl 90 and better gear. For now I would recommend to just stick with your current setup.

Should I use choir of the storm still with cotb for now?

I just specced out of elemental overload now I have some crit nodes. Wow damage with Spark is amazing now, it keeps getting better :)

Now I need to start looking for high link gear so I can replace my Tabula and get resists and survivability for when I reach maps soon. And look for mana leech gloves so I can grab MoM.

The clearspeed is definitelly better with the Inpulsa and HoT with no CotB, it's just not as satisfying as seeing monster shatter.

I tried both builds, currently sticking to full lightning - my character is public, if you wanna see.

I think Choirs is still BiS for dps and especially single target. If you need more survivability get a rare with high lif, res and crit multi.

Looks pretty decent... I noticed a few things...
1) get a abyss jewel with onslaught on kill
2) a good rolled quicksilver flask would also increase your clear speed by a lot
3) before you proc your vaal skills in a bossfight cast you golem to proc arcane surge for extra dps

Corrupt is super cheap and an insane value.


I may post some vids of my build but I may just make a new thread as I don't want to confuse people with another build variation (though overall it would be similar to the HoI / CotB variant).
