You don't need Rat's nest for maps. I'm currently running tier 10 maps without any problems whatsoever and I'm using a crappy +3 spark rare helmet with 93 life and no other good affixes that I bought for 10 chaos on day 3 of the league.

Don't worry too much about DPS. Focus on survivability first.

I have updated the guide for 3.3 already but that does not mean that it will not change again. The only reason why this build is still viable it because I adapted it nearly every saison to get better.

(Vaal) Blade Vortex + Physical to Lightning + Concentrated Effekt + Increased Critical Strikes + Controlled Destruction + Added Lightnig Damage
When you use Impulsa drop "elemental focus" and "increased criticl strikes" or "controlled destruction" instead to still profit from the increased shock effect.

What does this mean, what should we drop, it’s saying to drop 3 gems. What is the ideal 6link with inpulsas

Oh yeah that bit about dropping the gems with Impulsa I am confused about too though I am not up to that stage of the game yet. I'm not sure what that would mean for my gem setups either.
If someone could please explain :)

It was kinda a left over... but the setup is correct. More or less with Inpulsa I would recommend to use controlled destruction and without it elemental focus instead. I hope thid makes it more clear.

Thanks for fixing that. Also what do we do for boots? Your gear setup has a rare set but then in the gear explanation it has other options as the best. Another thing is that you say we use 2 threshold jewels but I only see one in your skill tree. What do we use?

Look the gear I post the see without a spoiler is the standard setup I recommend and under gear details you find other options. Atm I use Voidealker for example because the cost only 1 chaos and I am really broken atm. There is just not only one setup for this build... there are different options and everyone should find the setup which works best or just follow my recommended one.

I will change it to „we use 1-2 hazardous research jewels. Both options are good... more projectiles means more clearspeed. A rare jewels instead means more dps for spark and bv. I prefer only 1.

That way it would be clear for any newb reading your guide(s) to know what to do. You could even list the pros and cons of each build variation like you have done in the recent thread posts you have made.


I think 5 minutes of copy-pasting of your build material would greatly increase visibility and you wouldn't have to answer repeated questions.

I'm lvl 89 so far and it's been a very smooth ride with great clearspeed and nice single target damage thanks to Vaal BV.

Just switched to the full lightning build, I gotta say overall the damage is higher, but the gameplay is not as satisfying as with the cold damage.

The explosions from Inpulsa are just not as big as from HoI. FeelsBadMan
