Hello :)

Default gear for Animate Guardian is selected to keep it safe and also helping you and other minions. Default setup gives AG high chance to block, capped resistances and 6% regen. AG also hinders enemies, so it keeps you and other minions safe.

I don't really recommend changing AG gear much if you don't have clear plan about what you want for it. If you change armor to Belly of the Beast, you will lose 50% chaos res to AG and ability to regen 6% on block, so AG will die much easier.

Mika, do you know - things like "global crit chance" and effects from power charges - affect golems? I mean stats on ME, which boost my global crit. I know about charges on golem via shield. Or things like "projectile speed" - they will work for golems too?

Btw i think alot of ppl asked u about this,but its hard to check all pages) : how much better is occultist instead of super buffed new elementalist? 2 more golems, 240% golems dmg, immunity to ailments.. Yeah,u got more shield with occultist, but 2 golems and 240% is HUGE buff.

Poe sees you and minions as separate entities. Anything that affects only you wont affect minions and same the other way around. Global crit or projectile speed affecting you wont affect minions.

I will be doing more tests with Elementalist next week, but Elementalist probably cant reach same clear-speed as Occultist. The chaos explosion chains are just too powerful for cleaning. However Elementalist can reach much higher single target and total damage as Occultist.

It turns out GGG confirmed that you can shock everything with beacon of ruin as long as you do atleast 1 lightning damage. (and chill with cold etc).


In addition all ailment effects apply to the new base shock of 20% increased damage taken.
I am using something like this to enhance that effect:

With this settup my shocks reach a value of

29% shock effect of arc,
30% ailment effect of Unbound ailments
20% of beacon of ruin

15% of the Innervate hybrid mod on the helm ( can roll up to 20% on the highest tier)

94% total shock effect on a 20% base makes shocks now 38.8

Allmost 40% Increased damage taken, with about 55% chance to shock if the multi ailment/shock rotation effect is not active.


Quite the respective damage boost for elementalist golemancers.

Also experimenting with yoke of suffering now aswell.
Hard to say how much power it gives but its worth considering.

With new changes shocking seems to be pretty nice way to boost damage, but on the other hand raising it eats precious gem slots. I need to test if Storm Burst -> Offering or Arc -> innvervate -> etc is better for minions damage.

I will be doing more test with Elementalist next week, so there might be tweaks for the current Elementalist setup coming. Finally GGG made Elementalist actually useful for minions!

I always wanted to play as golemancer, but because of busy IRL I never have enough time to farm enough currency to buy all those amazing jewels. This league will probably be no different... So do you think it would be possible to play as golemancer only with dual clayshapers and elementalist nodes? Would it be possible to do at least low tier maps with it?

cool build but the jewels this league are ... immortal expensive ... if there is someone who's got one might or anima to much *hands up* xD

I'm even playing without the primordal might and anima, but if you try to catch most of the animated guardian gear with just two flamegolems it is still running ok in low tier maps i think.

Build works fine with Elementalist and 4x Flame Golems + Tukohama Vanguard Specters or then Necro and using maybe Solar Guards instead of Flame Golems. Solar Guards are almost same as Flame Golems with their damage and moveset, so they can be used for fast clearing. Maybe using Midnight Bargain for 4x SG Specs instead of 2x Golems + Specs might be better as number of best type of minions should be maximized.

Primordial jewels have been pretty expensive, but hopefully prices keep dropping. I guess the new Elementalist is drawing lots of interest and lots of new players are testing Golems now. Luckily grinding currency for Primordial jewels with Specters is easy and cheap, so at some poing getting the jewels should be possible ;)

Golemancer guild has now 6 slots open. Please try to PM officers or me in-game before sending message in forums as I check them only occasionally and they might be already taken.




Added video of Guardian Of Chimera fight as Elementalist :

Guardian Of The Chimera Fight as Elementalist using 4x Flame Golems, 1x Ice Golem and 1x Lightning Golem.

Testing also "Death's Doors" boots that make me bleed immune, but add 50% longer elemental status on me. However new Elementalist nodes makes me immune to Elemental Statuses, so the bad line is not affecting me.
Testing Arc with Innervate, as I read that any amount of Lightning damage should be able to shock enemies. Not sure if it's working, but boss damage feels solid.
Specters were not Shaper tier, but T16.

- immunity to shock
- immunity to ignite
- immunity to freeze and chill

Not so bad... but wait, there is more! :)

For each Primordial Harmony you get 20% increased golem damage per golem type summoned.
Assuming you have 10 harmonies (which extreme, btw):
- with only flame golems you get - 20%*10=200% increased golem damage
- with 4+1+1 setup you get - 20%*3*10=600% increased golem damage

In the guide it says to put Animate Guardian into weapon with Shield Charge and Faster Attacks Support.
Then under the "Animate Guardian" section, it tells me to use "Curse enemies with Elemental Weakness on hit" gloves on my Guardian, and link this to a Melee Splash Support gem to apply this curse on multiple targets.
How do i do this when i have the Animate Guardian in the same weapon as Shield Charge and Faster Attacks Support?

With Pob, I'm getting slightly more total DPS with 6 Flame Golems compared to 4+1+1.

4+1+1 is better when you want the elemental immunity and maybe use "Death's Door" boots for bleed immunity as well. However I tested Ice and Lightning Golem in 1 link with friend in PVP and they were totally useless, so they should not be included in DPS calculations.

6x Flame Golems is better when you want maximal clear speed (more attacking Golems) and total DPS. You will be missing freeze, chill, shock and possibly bleed immunity, but will have much better clear-speed.

Hey :)

The line is both relevant and useless.

Now that build is using 2x active curses (Ele Weak being second) the curse on hit gloves are not that necessary. Gloves can be used as AG will be applying the curse when enemy is outside of Blasphemy range. This maximizes DPS in boss fights where lots of kiting is required.

Melee splash gem is left out of links, but Clayshaper can be corrupted with "Linked gems are supported by melee splash". My own Clayshaper has this line and my AG has curse in hit gloves, so it's still able to curse group of enemies with one hit.
