Dual Strike

For me too, it halves the DPS, I was at ~1400, and now ~640!!! And it seems to not fight at all as previously!

I prefered to wait for a correction.
From patch notes:

Some skills now display average damage per skill use instead of DPS, as DPS would not make sense for them.


Hope this makes sense.

This was in notes too though:

Several skills have had their scaling adjusted. As these skills now have many more things that can scale them up, their built-in progression has been reduced. They are potentially more powerful if you specialise in them.


Somehow I see how this latter quote could be related more to DoT mechanic skills but I am not sure.

Yes, that second bit only refers to Damage over Time Skills. :)

Only done some very limited testing but the new, halved tooltip DPS of Dual Strike is clearly incorrect and way lower than the actual damage dealt, which seems unchanged from prior to 1.0.2.
Tooltip DPS is now equal to any single-weapon skill with 100% damage effectiveness.

ok so the dps display is not correct, but the skill still works in terms of damage output?
The damage output is fine, it's only the display.
Would be better if they change the dual strike animation or have some alternate microtransaction effect for it. Asked around and people telling me that the dual strike animation is getting boring. Since dual strike is one of the top 5 most used gems.

Theoretically they could provide an "alternating attack" dual strike skin.

While using Dual Strike with two weapons of different range , like 6 for the main hand and 5 for the off-hand. Does the skill use max range of 5 for both weapons or the main hand will still be able to hit at range 6?
