Dual Strike

What happens, if I hit an enemy with dual strike and one of my weapons has the "bleeding on hit" affix? What will be the base damage of the bleeding? The definition of the skill gem says "dealing the damage of both in one strike", so I suspect the other weapon's hit damage will be included in the bleeding damage claulctaion as well, but some confirmation would be nice :)
it should behave like adder's touch if a few dev responses are understood correctly.
just the weapon the mod is for or on, works for a dual strike/clean's single hit. it is still two weapons smushed together. duel strike only gets weird when crits of different values are involved, then similar case happens BUT the credit of making a crit is "global".

I play as duelist (dual strike) and want to ask you guys what will give me most dps from this passives in right order someone could do this

The passive are:
increase melee PD (12%)
Increase weapon PD (12%)
increse PD when dual wielding (8%)
and increase weapon atack speed 4%

obviosly i am using resolute techniqe so dont tell me about critical chance etc.
or maybe somethink else?
12% Increased Damage is more than 8%. That one's easy.
4% IAS is not likely to beat 12% Increased Damage.
so there is no difference betwen increase mele damage 12% and weapon PD 12% the worst is IAS ok thx.
Increased Melee Damage applies to Physical, Elemental and Chaos Damage, whereas Increased Physical Damage only applies to Physical (naturally). If you have a lot of flat Elemental Damage, then Melee Damage is better. Damage Based On (Hatred, Added Fire), Conversion and any Physical Damage will benefit from both nodes equally.
Ok i have last question what is max attack speed for dual strike?? (anyone tried to test it??)
Currently i have 7.3 witch weapons attacks speed 2.0 in main hand and 1.25 in off hand.
There is theoretically no maximum - it's only limited by gear and passives. You can get a bunch more than 7.3, that's for sure; low life Blood Rage, Multistrike, all the things can get you well over 10 APS.
I have a few questions about Dual Strike (and also Cleave) and although I have read this entire Skill Feedback thread, the answers are not 100% clear to me. They're about 99% clear, though. I'd just like some clarification and it may help other people too, I guess.

Consider this scenario:

- The keystone Resolute Technique is taken. I cannot deal critical strikes and my melee hits cannot be evaded;
- I have 25% chance to shock from the passive three;
- I am dual wielding axes with the following sources of lightning damage:
> Physical to Lightning support gem
> Added lightning damage support gem
> Wrath aura
> Herald of Thunder
> Flat lightning damage on weapons
> Flat lightning damage on other gear (rings, gloves)

Also consider this fact about the tooltip of Dual Strike:

The tooltip first displays two columns of information: one with damage that is dealt only with the main hand weapon, and another with the damage from the offhand weapon. Below these two columns is another row with information corresponding to damage that I am assuming is applied to the attack as a whole, and not by weapon. (?)

Questions:

1. Each source of lightning damage seems to interact differently with Dual Strike, or, at least, with its tooltip. For instance: Lightning damage from the Physical to lightning support gem appears in the two columns, with a different value for each weapon, if the weapons are not identical. However, flat lightning damage from gear (not weapons) appears in the second row of information as a single value. I assume this means some sources of damage "double dip" on Dual Strike, because they are applied to both weapons separately, but other sources don't? What is the criteria for this?

2. It's been stated several times in this thread that the damage dealt by Dual Strike is one single hit with combined damage from both weapons, if both hit. Considering I have Resolute Technique, this is always the case. I need this to be even more clear, to make sure I'm calculating shock duration correctly: If my main hand weapon deals 10 lightning damage, and my offhand weapon deals 15 lightning damage, and I roll chance to shock in a hit, will the shock duration for that hit be calculated in a base of 25 (10+15) lightning damage?

3. Does all of the above apply in an identical way to the cleave skill when dual wielding? Which part of it applies and which doesn't?

It is absolutely identical to Cleave's behavior.
Cleave and Dual strike make two separate, simultaneous attacks, one with each weapon. So, any secondary effects will apply separately from both weapons. Even evasion check is made separately for them (if applicable), so you can miss with one weapon and hit with another. You can also shock with one weapon and dont shock with another (i mean the shock from "shock chance", not crit). And even if shock proc on both weapons, it wont stack. And actually, dual strike and cleave dont even make simultaneous hits. If you proc shock from both weapons, then one of hit will count against shocked target, dealing extra damage. I dont really remember, which hit (left or right) comes first, though.
Added flat damage applies to both weapons, if possible. So, if you have a ring with 4-7 fire damage, you will get that damage bonus for each weapon, so dual strike and cleave will "inflict" it twice (with all modifiers, of course).
