OK, so I'm trying to understand Doryani's Catalyst being an upgrade over Cerberus Limb. It has a lower cast speed, a bunch of physical damage stats, and none of the gems you put in it will benefit from Elemental Proliferation. Is there something I'm not understanding?

Hi! I am new to POE, this is my first character. I feel that I have followed the build pretty closely, even though I didn't start following it until around level 60. I am now level 74 and have been trying to do the Trials of Ascendancy Merciless. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but I die after just taking 2 hits. I have been able to complete up to tier 4 maps, but I usually have to use all of them portals. Any tips on how to ascend or what I might be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Oh dear.

Check the gearing section very carefully. I'm guessing your resists are not capped at 78%. Pick up a new rare ring and amulet using the guidelines listed in the guide. Then I'd replace unique gloves with ones with the minimums also listed, with whichever resists you need to fill in. See where this leads you.

You don't mention your finances...so I'll continue.

You really need to buy two Fragility jewels. The purpose of using Ahn's Heritage shield is so you can gain Permanant onslaught with the 2 fragility jewels. The jewel you have right now is rather...useless? I'm not sure what the prices are on Standard, but I know on DSC they can be had for 10-12c each, so it's well worth it.

Now, after that, please go read the flask section of the guide and go upgrade your flasks. You should only have one life flask. PoE isn't like other games where you only use your flasks reactively as your health drops; you use them to keep buffs up, mainly.

Your weapon is not serving you at all. Pick one up. Any one in the guide will be better than what you have. Or any one that looks something like the rare one in the guide...something with spell damage and elemental damage + cast speed. Do what the guide guides you!

First, THANK YOU SO MUCH! This guide is awesome! I got my first try on Shaper 1h before (well, I got thrashed, but I believe it is possible to do with a little leveling).

For anyone trying this build in this league, are you getting in trouble in Delves? Most of my deaths are delvin, sometime I got stuck, sometimes I believe I got chain stun (man, more than once I hit that flare and it didn't appear), I'm working on upgrading my Brine King Pantheon for it. I tryed this flask too in place of my sulphur, but didn't seam to solve anything. Any ideas on how to improve delving?

I feel like the mod would be pretty nice for mapping and delving (95% of what I do) but I cannot for the life of me figure where to use it ?

I'd appreciate if anyone could enlighten me about this jewel.

Is new delve affix in helmet any good? Im talking about -9% light res to all near enemies. I spent some time crafting a good shaper helmet with life, %max life, lightning dmg to spells and that new fossil affix.

I enjoy playing this build a lot. I am still getting the needed gear together, but before I do that, how do you keep the elemental resistances up?
I probably have missed something, but looking at the gear, I cannot find many items with resistance mods, unless I use the rare items instead of the suggested uniques.

Most items can/will be rares. As for uniques, you only really need Impulsa and much later ahn's shield, the rest is - better - but optional imho.

belt, gloves, rings, amu you can go with rares w/ life/resists
