I enjoy playing this build a lot. I am still getting the needed gear together, but before I do that, how do you keep the elemental resistances up?
I probably have missed something, but looking at the gear, I cannot find many items with resistance mods, unless I use the rare items instead of the suggested uniques.

As Tirshia said, above, you don't need all the uniques listed. The most critical are Inpulsa's, Ahn's shield, two Fragility jewels and, if you have the budget for it, an Essence Worm with a Wrath gem and a Watcher's Eye jewel with the "% lightning dmg to Mana while under the influence of Wrath" affix. (An expensive option, of course.) Of the absolutely necessary combos are Inpulsa's, Ahn's and two Fragility jewels for Ahn's "always up" Onslaught.

That leaves your helm, belt, boots and gloves as well as your main weapon, if you can get/craft one better than the uniques selected, for resists.

This is a common situation with builds that have lots of uniques. But, this build doesn't require as many as some for the lower budget versions. For "everything" it's still got a lot of resist gear slots open in the helm, gloves, boots and belt, provided you don't have a resist affix on the weapon, which you don't want to waste an affix on if you can help it.

The key to getting resists up for builds with lots of uniques is acquiring rares of high item level that can roll higher tier resists. It's extremely difficult to rely, for instance, on an item level 40-something piece of gear with resists on it when you need resists in the 40's in that slot, which it's not going to roll no matter how many different resists it has on it.

For instance, rings: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/List_of_ring_modifiers

If you reserve one of your rings for resists, rather than going with an expensive Shaper's ring whatsits, then you need a ring with an item level of at least 72 to get the 32-45 Cold Resist roll. If you got the highest naturally acquired item level of 84, you could get 46 to 48 Cold resist out of it. (You can also get high item level items from Divination Cards. For instance, a level 100 ring.)

This basic premise goes for every piece of gear. Item level determines the range of values that piece of gear can have for any particular trait and, in some cases, determines what traits that item can have. For a more detailed, more easily usable list, you can refer to either POEdb.tw or Poeaffix.net. There, you can more easily plan on how to craft an item, depending upon its base and item level as well as any special properties, like Elder/Shaper.

Don't forget that an Abyss Belt as well as the Abyss Gloves are also called for if you can fit them in. If you wish, you can find Abyss jewels to help boost your resists as well. Or, you could focus more damage in those jewels and then go for more defensive bonuses in your other regular jewels. Enki has a jewel guide section, so look over that, too.

Again, this is a common issue with builds that have a lot of uniques. This build isn't as bad as some can be. The key is, almost always, getting gear with high item levels. That can come "self-found" or by finding a high item level piece and then crafting it for your needs or just buying them from other players. In general, at least for this build, you should be able to easily get item level 74 items without too much difficulty, provided you've been sensibly looking after your resists up to that point.

Once your resists are overcapped, everything is gravy. It's possible to overcap resists for this build without having high-item-level gear, btw. Ahn's gives us a nice boost for that, too.

Any thoughts on what I should focus on next? I need a little bit more 'oomph' to do the really hard stuff.

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Pease1/characters?characterName=ChugsArcWitch

I'm constantly leveling up arc gems in my off hands to try for a 21/20. So far no luck.
Im still lack of dmg for guardians. I can make T15 maps, but when it comes to kill guardians they're taking a bit too much time to kill em. I can kill them with 2/3 portals left, but its too long.

I know im lack of watcher's eye - but it would not improve my dmg.

What should I aim next one? Better weapon with ele pene? to change jewels?

I see any next change in my eq may cost over 1ex +, that why i want to know what to do next.
Love this build. Started it last league (as a new player) and chose it again for Delve.

Recently bought my 5L Inpulsa's and was quite surprised with the damage boost it gave :)

Next will prolly be Ahn's or is it better to save up for a 6L Inpulsa's ?

I'm a casual player so sofar I'm grinding T9/T10 maps and Delvelevel 120 or so.

Usually no problems, but once in a while I get semi one shotted or a unique boss has a long TTK. Feels like I'm lacking some one-target damage.

I am looking for a clarification on increased shock effect. My stats show I have 99% shock effectiveness. Does the 30% from Arc get added to this? I'm just trying to determine if I need to get an additional 51% or just 21% to hit the 150% cap.
Your abyssal jewels aren't very good. If you upgrade those you can get a bit more damage and life. Might help you a little.
So far this build is very fun and I don't feel there is a lack of damage at all yet. I am lvl 88 now and working toward the shaper. Once I balanced all my resists to be the same the Wise Oak really woke up. Thanks again for an awesome build.

@Zynkh
In addition to what CannibalSausage wrote, you should really quality all your flasks to 20%. Glassblowers Baubles can be bought in town for 8 Blacksmith Whetstones each. Your ring could also have mana mastercrafted on it. All in all just small details until you go for the bigger upgrades.

@VelocitySC
Damn that's a really nice sceptre! Also good luck on 100, i'm going for it myself too.

@patrickshu
Only with a chest with the corrupted implicit "+1 to level of socketed gems", or alternatively "+2 to level of socketed duration gems" when using a Lv21 Vaal Arc. In any other case, Lv4 Empower is damage loss over any of the other supports.

@leroy989
As you figured, Culling Strike is better to have as option for Orb of Storms once you got a leech Watcher's Eye.

@Chanos78
A weapon that scales Inpulsa explosions (Lightning% or Elemental%), new gloves with similar mods and higher life, mastercrafted life on amulet if possible, maybe new boot enchant and a Lv21 (Vaal-) Arc are the best upgrades for now. You should also switch your Empower with a 21/20 Added Lightning Damage once you got that Lv21 Arc, Empower is a damage loss without the mentioned corrupted mod on Inpulsa's.

@tonythomsen
It may seem similar, but infact your build is completely different and those changes are what makes you struggle. The crit setup is just not effective, Elemental Overload is much better for this build. Your flask setup is also a mess and you're missing the Alchemist nodes. Last but not least, Mastermind of Discord is just infinitely worse than Beacon of Ruin for this build, you lose a lot of damage and survivability through this choice. That's the biggest issues, small stuff like gearing choices add to the misery.

@blizaro
I'll give it a try in Standard, however I personally see no need for it.

@Degaldor
You didn't actually link a sceptre, but if you mean the one you'Re wearing then it's very good. Too bad that it's mostly spell damage, but it's too good to dump it just for that.

Increased Damage (generic damage like I usually call it) works the same as Lightning/Elemental for Inpulsa explosions, also one of the many reasons why we use a Sulphur Flask.

@Bodomi
Personally I didn't, but I know there were a few players around who did. Basically you can put on most of the regular MF stuff (Bisco's Collar & Leash, 1x Ventor's Gamble, Goldwyrm or Sadima's) but it may limit you in the content you can run. For Shaped Maps it should be good enough tho.

@Kirian42
Elemental Damage scales Inpulsa explosions, Spell Damage doesn't. Think of it this way - with a 132% Ele Damage Catalyst and 10% Inpulsa's, each explosions deals 13.2% / 18.48% additional monster life as damage without / with Elemental Overload. With a large pack this can make the different between popping the rares or bosses within, or not.

@ALW4899
jackieh917 pretty much covered it all, your current setup is all over the place. You're missing lots of life on gear and i'm not sure if your resistances are capped at 78%. The gem setup is also weird in some places, like the Decoy Totem takes a valuable damage link in your Arc support chain and Arcane Surge is way too high in its level. Good news is that it's mostly just small fixes here and there that will really improve your build, just carefully read all sections and go by the recommended items.

@Chico1988
My strategy for Delves is basically just rush through with flasks up. I'm not doing any Pantheon or Flask changes, was trying up Grace with Aul's Uprising, but it didn't do enough without proper evasion investment. Currently at around 460 and as long as it's no brutal mod combination, Delves are still fairly easy. Only thing that will almost certainly kill you is the +3 chain mod, due to our golems and how chain works, so check mods and disable golems if the zone has that mod.

@tirshea
Sadly no spot where it would make sense for us. You could put it into the witch jewel socket, take the power charge, Blast Radius and Dark Arts, but at that point the loss is way bigger than what you'd gain from this jewel.

@khaled11000
Getting Ahn's with 2x Fragility will be a huge upgrade. Also replace Empower with Hypothermia and get Cold Damage to Spells on a jewel for a huge damage boost. Your passive tree is also a little off, and you're missing the Alchemist nodes. The block setup is also not very effective at those values, and your Watcher's Eye is missing the single most important mod (Mana Leech). Last but not least, i'd highly recommend a sceptre over wand to use Shield Charge, great mobility and defense boost.

@thepotatocannon
It's a great mod, however there's no clear definition of the nearby radius nor any visual indicator, so you gotta stay closer to the bosses to make sure it works, which is only a good idea if you know what they're capable of and can react in time.

Doesn't hurt to have it tho, so if your craft is good then keep it.

@Fubalu
Basically what tirshea and Morkonan wrote. Another thing you should plan in are mastercrafts, they can craft up to 30% of a single resistance on helmet, gloves, boots (basically chest and shield too, but we use uniques there) and up to 25% on jewelry, as long as there's an open suffix and that particular resistance isn't on the item yet. You can check poeaffix.net to figure out if an item still has an open suffix to craft a resistance on.

@pease1
Your character tab is currently private, please change it so I can check.

@ridox112
Replace your Arcane Surge with a Lv8 one and farm one of the boot enchants in Merc Lab. You can also try to get life on jewels, abd the added sustain from a leech Watcher's will definitely help. Also can't see your Flasks and Pantheon, so there may be upgrade potential too.

@Mach2k
Definitely get Ahn's next, the whole setup is pretty cheap and will be a big boost to survivability and damage. Your passive tree is also a off on many points, and you miss lots of damage through your flask setup and missing the Alchemist cluster. Also noticed that you pathed to, but didn't spec into Paragon of Calamity, so that's another small thing to change. Last thing is the missing life on your rare ring, could definitely look for an upgrade too. If you're tight on resistances, then also upgrade the boots.

@Grumbled0r
If you click on Arc in your character tab, it should show the total value including the shock effect Arc adds for itself.

@everyone: Thanks! If i've left any questions out, it's because someone else already answered them so please check their reply!

This might be a non build related question, but I think I am stuck in my progress right now. All upgrades would cost 50 chaos and more and the 6L Inpulsas seems completely unaffordable for me. Only thing I might upgrade for under 50c is Limb --> Doryanis, but I don't think this would make me progress faster.

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Blankbeard

I can run T8 maps on my own, maybe T9 or T10 (with some deaths at the end bosses), but that doesn't give me the amount of currency I need now.

Am I doing something wrong? What is the best way to farm Exalteds with my current setup, so I can afford 6L Inpulsas?

Thanks for the awesome build so far!!!

finally got this beauty ( :
ill divine it later for the maximum life and try to get arc enchant, but it should be good for now
