1.3.0 Patch Notes

I wonder if there should be some compensation for curse on hit nerf.

The problem with curse on hit is that the passive tree has curse nodes that become useless for curse supported by curse on hit. Increase radius and curse cast speed get nullified.

If someone gets all curse notable nodes, they would waste 4 points on absolutely nothing to acquire them.
GG game all was nerfed :(
Buggatix
Path of Nerfs.
Path of Legacies.
Path of Bows.
Path of Squish.

Maybe now the "wait for patch notes before QQ" crowd will stfu. The last three 3 patches have done nothing but make characters squishier and squishier. It's clear that GGG think ripping over and over and over and over, usually in ways which we can't prevent or anticipate, will make people stick around for longer. Not me. Oh well, I guess the deciding factor will be how much I enjoy playing a Ranger.

Patch notes look good, lots of long-needed changes.

There are some really good changes in here. Examples: Facebreaker builds finally have a nice movement skill, which can be linked to apply some initial debuffs. Loooove that!
God gloves nerfed: ++, they really were unbalanced.
Block nerfed: seems ok to me.
Master changes are absolutely great. Remove at level 7: Thank you very much! Less grindy: Thanks again!
Bow movement skills: Hell yes. Could be OP, though, cannot tell yet.

Only sad thing: Ranged is still better than mellee. Though the templar area looks pretty good.

All in all I'm excited about the patch and looking forward to tomorrow when I can play it.
May your maps be bountiful, exile

So much crying over the nerfs, now people actually have to put in some effort instead of steamrolling the game and atziri with max block crit builds. People seem to forget GGG never intended for endgame to be as easy as it is now. Master crafting made it more available but some builds just made it toooooo easy.

I was hoping for some more actual content to be added beyond a Pvp system that's heavily slanted to people who have pvp'd for years already. I get that it's the Pvp patch but it's hard to be hyped for a new league when PVP isn't in the context of the new league. Why do I play bloodlines whether were only item/skill nerfs and all the PVP is in HC and SC where anyone who didn't Pvp before (or rather corrupt and craft hundreds of items) probably doesn't stand much of a chance. As someone who was hyped to start pvping, I've completely abandoned the idea of even trying, and as someone who loves making new builds I can understand nerfs, but I think giving tools to other defensive or offensive options to what are perceived as tier 2 and 3 builds would expand the meta rather than nerfs which will only expand the meta until the masses gravitate towards a new set of tier 1 builds.

GGG probably should have done this PvP patch the way they did it when they introduced Masters, as in have Leo and the PvP arena only available in the new leagues. Once the leagues are done they could then open up Standard/Hardcore again and roll the new leagues into Standard/Hardcore. Would that be better for you? I have no interest in PvP so I dont care either way. :-)
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-
I started playing in the middle of Rampage/Beyond, so I'm basically a new player. Spent a lot more time learning about the game than actually playing it, to be honest.

That being said, I love the new patch. I've been trying to stay as melee with characters, using the duelist in particular, and I have been tickled pink that casters/dodgers no longer get such a significant boost from block. The option is still there, no matter how much investment is needed, so I don't see any problems. Likely, it's only the beginning to everything being re-balanced.. Strap yourselves in, People. It's extremely necessary.

In fact, I intend to run with a dodging/low block duelist. Maybe I'll eat my words of praise, but it'll be fun finding out first-hand if the changes were for the best. Torment and Bloodlines will be my first full season, and I couldn't be more excited! Thanks for the patch! Won't be joining in on the PvP aspect of the game just yet, but knowing it's there has me intrigued. I'm a new computer away from PvP and playing PvE in groups. XD The gameplay is just way too choppy on my junky laptop.

So bring on the game balance, and good luck everyone!

Great patch overall. Ignore the haters GGG. The game was definitely getting too easy, especially for top players. The challenge is what makes it fun and addicting. Glad you can still control the faceroll creep.

And this means that people who don't have more than 2 or 3 hours to play every day, you know, 95% of the player base, should suffer for it?
