GGG, 0.5.0 it's amazing! You're doing great! Can't wait for that.

Atlas changes are undercooked and don't really do anything to alleviate the majority of peoples complaints.
I look forward to you redesigning it in another 12 months. PoE2 is a great tutorial for PoE1.

Personally I am very whelmed.
Is there lots of cool things coming in .5? Yes. Is it exciting that this will be the final main patch before 1.0 release? Absolutely. Do I think that this team is working their tails off to continue to improve the game and all its mechanics? No doubt about it. And yet for all that was presented, I'm still left feeling kinda meh about it all. It feels like most of what was presented today will definitely make the game better and feel more feature complete, to be sure, but some major things which I think most players were eager to see in .5 were totally missing. Endgame changes need to be way more significant than what was presented. I saw lots more trees, more nodes, more runes, more items, more enemies, more bosses.. all good stuff, but somehow still comes off as more fluff than substance to me. Players don't jive with the towers / tablets approach.. personally I find it very tedious. Also very tedious is leveling and going through the campaign every league - no changes there, and this remains disappointing. Although some pathfinding additions in some zones are nice, they really are not gonna make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, and and least for me, this prevents me from building more than one character per league, and with how much else there is added to the game with each pass, I reckon that may become more the reality for more players too. Still waiting on more weapons, more playable classes, more league mechanics (where is delve, where is trial of the ancestors, where is betrayal, where is blight, where is legion? - I think its safe to say that players would much prefer to see more of these in POE2 versus more advanced runes and trees. Also no meaningful adjustments to trials? I literally skip these every league and just pay a div for the points - to me its dead content and desperately needs to be redone more than pretty much anything else already in the game. Also, where is the third trial which was promised way back at the start? I really don't wanna throw shade on GGG, and I hope its not coming across that way. I truly do appreciate their work and love this game so much, but just feel a bit let down by some of their decision making is all. For all the time and effort this upcoming patch just feels a bit empty despite all that was shown, which feels crazy to type, even. |

" I'm in the same boat. I'll play it and give it a shot, but adding more to a broken endgame means we still have a broken endgame. I was hoping this infinite atlas nonsense would be replaced. It was thrown together 2 months before 0.1 and nothing is fixing it. I thought the endgame rework we were promised was a rework and not "Hey, we piled onto it. Hope it is enough to distract you from what it is now." |

Swords...
I can't stand maces anymore. And I don't know why GGG insists on an infinite Atlas if nobody likes it. Last edited by ulisseslsn#4721 on May 7, 2026, 11:10:11 PM

I feel pretty disappointed tbh...I don´t understand why some people are celebrating like they "fixed" the game with this update. Its just more fluff while doing nothing about the core problems.
PoE feels more and more like a severely dumbed down version of PoE1 with less of everything that matters but more of shiny things that add nothing. |

A lot of content and I'll praise the loot filter change as the biggest change for path of exile in general. I love getting more lore for all mechanics and am looking forward to all the new pinnacle boss fights which seems to make up a solid endgame.
Seems is all it is. Endgame is still your weakest point and adding onto it won't fix it. I appreciate you adding challenges, that's a neat purpose to finally feel like I'm earning something whilst playing. Challenges alone won't carry endgame though. It needs more substance and less infinity. I delve in Cosmology and Astrophysics at the moment and the concept of infinity is both disturbing and unimaginable to pretty much any sane person on this planet. How do you expect your customers to experience infinity? Feels meaningless Please rework the endgame before 1.0! Remove infinity as constant! Arian Synthesis of G3

Endgame is still the same, your promises made it even worse because people expected some REWORK, so the endgame actually FEELS BETTER, what you did just piled up another ton of crap on top of it. Another 3-5 day league where economy will be ruined not with partyplayers only but with genesis tree printing too now (on top with the temple). Add lootships to kingsmarch so instead of grinding gear games it will become sit afk in ho waiting for loot like you did in poe 1, so even plebs can be rich and happy
