New breach Going core is very very bad.

Yah, and not everyone hates getting stepped on where it hurts most, but that don't mean we gotta make it front and center for the community at large.

Fair to say more than enough people hate the walls to nix them.

They wanna keep the new unstable breach? sure.

They wanna keep breach fortress encounters? sure I guess.

Breach hives and the walls that come with hives and fortresses? ye na mate were not doing that. That is cancer.

And for the gods we eat sake, do not with the hivebrain gland being a zogging scarab, that needs to be an invite key or nothing.
They already stated multiple times that the mechanic will be changed, as well as said that they had multiple other interactions with it that they didn't have time to implement. I doubt the walls will be anywhere near as intrusive and they are aware of the dislike regarding this.

No reason to think they wouldn't be able to adjust it and make it more fun for the majority. I already didn't mind the mechanic, but with slight adjustments there is no reason why it can't be a nice addition to the game. Just have to give them time to balance it, just like any mechanic they have introduced.

Right, right, and I hear you

But seeing as this is a feedback forum and its purpose includes ensuring the community makes clear on things they absolutely want included in those changes.

Do you hear the people sing,
Singing a song of angry men,
It is the music of a people
Who would not like walls again!

Please find me one person that thinks "new Breach" would be a worse mechanic without the walls. What the hell do the walls add to the game?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

The walls add significant visual depth and atmosphere, effectively supporting the theme of the new breach.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Which is cool the first time you encounter one. The 374th time? It's just... Spam.

Speak for yourself. I hated it the first time I saw them just as much as the 300th.

My only thought when I found them was "oh great, more useless lab spike style artificial barriers that are not hazardous or useful, just in the way for no reason".

Yep, the walls are just there to be annoying.

This breach 2.0 league was probably just a lot of PoE 2 assets recycled, which is why it feels like its so burdened by The Vision TM. Spending minutes burning walls just so you can do a defend encounter without having waves stuck behind them is not fun lol

These kinds of league mechs that interrupt your mapping so much are sooo bad, I prefer anything outside of mapping instead.

But hey, at least we can block Breach after doing a few maps in 3.28. So there's 1 positive thing.

Is there a clear understanding of what the original vision actually was? The game has long since drifted from that direction, and the idea of a singular, guiding vision no longer reflects its current reality.

Today, “The Vision” often appears more as a convenient catchphrase than a substantive critique, invoked because it sounds meaningful, rather than because it is grounded in the game’s history or design.

If burning walls truly took “minutes,” the issue lies less with the game and more with the approach—most of it requires mere seconds and can be handled on the fly or avoided entirely.

If it were truly so bad and not merely a matter of personal bias, rest assured GGG would not have added the new breach to the core game.
Fortunately, GGG tends to follow what the majority of players find enjoyable or worthwhile, which strongly indicates it is not inherently problematic.
Individual tastes may vary, of course, but we should be careful not to conflate subjective impressions with objective facts.

Nah, walls are cool... in moderation.

(Which I guess still might be an issue for someone focusing on them in the Atlas. Depending on the rewards and how blocking the Hive encounters works.

But is it that different from some people being unable to play flicker strike because it makes them nauseous ?)

I have more of an issue with the mini-walls that have been added in a patch to the center of fortresses. Because you cannot see them on the map. and yet they still block you (if you don't pick up one of the 'fires').
