absolute cope 3.28 bingo for Mark
" Not enough affixes on gear? Buddy, the game is in the easiest state it has ever been and the most generous it has ever been in terms of letting you power almost anything on a very short budget. Of course you still need to put something decent together because stacking just one defense was never going to cut it. This does not require a PhD or a decade of playtime, most of it comes down to a very basic understanding and common sense of how things work... really.... " It’s already practically solved given how easy and accessible solid defensive layers are. Patch 3.25 pretty much addressed this issue entirely, so I’m not sure how much simpler it could realistically get. At this point, you might as well just shut off the servers, nobody actually wants to play an even more watered-down version of the game, once the fun evaporates by day three of a fresh league. " Yeah agreed, wish I could just play any random cheap build with a fun skill and be able to do all endgame. You used to only need about 800k-1 mil dps before on the average build. The game has scaled enemy hp way too much since then, and also enemy damage so stuff like suppress and block became mandatory which makes all builds look the same. And suppress gear is also expensive af lmao The whole reason they even nerfed Determ+Grace reservation to 50% from 35% was because literally everyone was running those auras on all builds and that made the meta really boring. Every league I don't bother with more than my leaguestarter because I either can't find anything good to copy or all the strong builds are wayyyy too expensive lol |

"You can already do that if you’re a decent player, provided you’re willing to learn, improve, and make use of the tools the game gives you. If you’ve been stuck playing the same weak build for years, then yes, the game and its new content will eventually outpace both you and your abilities. This is especially true for those who prefer to buy challenge completions instead of actually engaging with the content. There’s no learning curve in that. Let’s not prioritize rhetoric over evidence. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

" Skill has nothing to do with how much the game has powercrept. Or all the expensive af items. Like any time I see a build using fobridden flame/flesh,watcher's eye, specific legion jewels, expensive clusters I'm like "naaaaah" lol, especially when the build also has crazy perfect gear and 0 guides on how to make it. Crafting is too convoluted, too RNG,too expensive and you need PhD in spreadsheets to do it. Any time a build has mageblood, expensive jewels, insane rare gear or some kinda bs heist amulet or whatever its an instant skip for me. Literally impossible to copy it. There's a problem when a few items in one build are 100x the price of entire other builds. Like aint no way I'm gonna spend literal weeks farming for all those items and a mageblood, I'd fall asleep by then. There is no skill involved in copy+pasting the meta builds and farming whatever scarab t17 strat is the best, the only thing that takes is a lot of time and a streamer PC that won't melt when doing stuff like Blight lmao Like the average player doesn't get a mageblood every league, nor do they farm hundreds of divines. I just gamba all my divs away on stacked decks/1 card yellow harvest gamba and quit if I lose it all. That's my end of league activity atm because there are no fun, cheap and strong builds to copy. I would play the game way more if there were, so that's something for GGG to consider. It would boost the league's retention for a lot of players. Also I have no clue what that last line means. |

" +1, Well said " You're still fine with 2kk. Aside the part that you already surpass those numbers without even trying thanks to power creep. " It's not expensive at all, what are you talking about? Lol " Nerfed from 35%??? Det and Grace was always 50%, and 60% before 2.0 " Define expensive, because you can already put together a stupid strong builds for less than 50d lol. You just don't know how to play the game. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

"Everything you say and "criticize" in this post is the very definition of what people are referring to as "skill issue". You are literally the problem to everything you're complaining about. Nothing you said is the games fault. Everything you said is something that you, the player, has in their own hands. Of course getting better at something takes time and effort, which isn't for everyone, but each to their own. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. " I dunno, like anything above 100 divines. At that point all I'm doing is mindlessly farming to buy items when I haven't even made the character yet. It makes me ask myself "why am I even playing?". When a game makes you ask that question, there is a problem. The game has powercrept players way wayyyy too much when stuff like perfectly mirrored heist rings/amulets are so common in builds lol, I don't want to play a build that costs more currency than I make in multiple leagues. Its literally impossible. And a build shouldn't need super giga endgame jewels like watcher's eye or forbidden flame/flesh, which by themselves cost more than entire other builds. That's bad. |
|
" It is the game though. "Skill issue" can't be used as an excuse for a boring meta and builds being way too expensive for the average player. It isn't my fault the game has gotten to this state lmao I'm just trying to have fun but can't because the barrier to entry for fun is now hundreds of divs or even 1 mirror+ of investment. That's not ok. Most people will get bored, burned out and quit. |

" If you need 100 divines to make a functioning build, that's also a skill issue. Your entire thing in every thread has been that everything is the game's fault. If you want to grow beyond your current self, you have to stop externalizing issues and self-reflect on the choices you make. This applies as much to the game as it does to real life, Toforto. The state the game was in when 800k-1000k DPS were fine for T16 mapping was back in Legion league and before, when you couldn't juice the game as hard as you can today. Higher difficulty -> more rewards. That's how reward structures in 99% of modern games work. Totem builds in particular are super budget and league start friendly. You can run Stormburst Totem Hiero up until ubers and play any skill you want really. Pizzasticks are still goated. Flamewood bossing is insane. All of those are tanky builds. You choose the squishiest of them all and complain about having a hard time. Think about that. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. "Tough luck mate. Perhaps if you wouldn't blow all your currency on carries and challenge completion just to be "done" after one week, you too could eventually generate enough virtual wealth to buy those big boy items. It's almost like this game has an working economy and putting in work results in more possibilities. What a crazy concept. Others can do it, why can't you? A bit odd, innit?
