False Minimum Hardware Requirements
" That is true, the Path of Exile 2 requirements are quite up to date, although I would argue that what is currently listed as recommended should instead be considered minimum, since the listed requirements do not really represent top-performing hardware. Players meeting the recommended specifications can naturally expect occasional dips in performance. At the very least, they could use the specifications of recent consoles as a reference point and set those as the minimum, which would more accurately reflect reality. Path of Exile 1, however, remains tied to requirements that were published nearly a decade ago. These should be revisited and updated for the sake of clarity. In fact, the recommended specifications for Path of Exile 2 more closely resemble what Path of Exile 1 should be recommending as minimum today, as anything below that naturally runs into significant performance issues. " It's funny you say that....cuz the PoE 1 requirements are HIGHER than those for PoE 2 (according to steam). In essence, you are saying that the minimum requirements being advertised for PoE 2 are that machines over a decade old would be able to run it. This....isn't really all that true. " No, if we compare PoE2 and PoE1’s suggested Steam requirements, PoE1 is listed as a game that needs much weaker hardware, which makes sense because those recommendations were put down like a decade ago. PoE2, on the other hand, already has a much higher ceiling for its recommended specs. What I’m saying is that PoE2’s current “recommended” specs should really be considered minimum. PoE1’s recommendations should be updated so that its minimum matches what PoE2 lists as recommended. Of course, ideally, both games should recommend even higher specs to guarantee a flawless 60 FPS, console-like out-of-the-box experience. The current recommendations could still remain as a “true minimum” baseline for players who genuinely don’t mind occasional drops in performance and are happy to run the game even if some areas or actions cause major slowdowns. Nonetheless, the key point here is that PoE1’s recommended requirements are long outdated and in need of an update. Hobby Gamer and Professional Software Engineer & Systems Architect from Tennessee

I wish GGG would do a blog post every other year with some PC build recommendations. Like hey, buy the X3D processor with such and such graphic card for a 1.5k build or so. I'm still using an RX 570 (4GB) card lol...
