-20% exp on death needed

" The risk is too big, the reward is not worth it. If I'm risking my exp in a map I should get like +300% quant and 100% packsize in it for free. Sadly that's not what we get. Its not fun to lose hours of progress on death for literally no reason. I want to keep my exp. The exp I earned by mapping. The game has no right to steal it from me. Nobody has fun dying and seeing that exp bar get reduced. Exp loss should be deleted, or made a toggle. Or let me hide the exp bar so I don't feel horrible every time I lose 60% exp at lvl96. Every time that happens its like "welp guess im not gonna level up at all this league" and I just quit the current league earlier and harvest gamba away all my divs on a card. I would play for so much longer if exp loss got deleted. The whole reason legion 5-way rotas print divines all league is because exp loss exists. If I could just chill in my t16 alch&go maps and level up whenever, however slow it may be, I wouldn't need exp carry groups or sanctum runs. |

"Then don't do it. "You can get that but not for free. Especially not in your Alc&Go T16's. "Maybe you don't. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. Nope, exp loss is outdated and needs to be deleted. And I will celebrate the day that inevitably happens. We already got exp loss removed from pinnacle bosses, so we're just 1 step away from exp loss going away, and the game becoming objectively more fun.

" Something tells me that you're also having a hard time with LE as well. Losing out on your rewards is essentially wasted time, so not any different to PoE. Except if you die in PoE you lose some exp, jump back into your juiced map and just keep going. No loot is lost unless you die 6 times which in this case makes it obvious that you're not ready for the content. But if LE is so much more fun shouldn't you be playing this game instead of complaining about the death penalty or whatever else in PoE? Mainly all the things you struggle with due to your own decision of playing a bad build? " The only outdated part about is that 10% is not enough, 20-25% would be better. You could celebrate it already at any giving time by playing a better build, cause the exp lose on death won't go anytime soon. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Exp loss will be deleted, sooner or later.

What evidence do you base that on. Are there any statements from GGG that support your assertion, or is this more grasping at straws in lieu of actual arguments?
This is a crazy chain of comments to have on your forum record, Toforto The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

It's honestly amazing that he's in this thread complaining about the exp penalty punishing his time.....
yet in separate threads he practically BRAGS about the fact that he only plays new leagues for like a week to get 40/40 and then quits or doesn't play. Obviously his time isn't really being punished.....at all. " Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Dec 21, 2025, 1:55:08 PM
