OP's build really shouldn't be the subject here (although at a glance, much could be optimized), but maybe some of those improvements tie in with why OP thinks the death penalty is injust

People saying that death in this game teaches them something while there is no death log, no tips or pop ups saying anything about what your character sucking at, you need to go to a third party app like PoB to actually calculate and estimate what needed to be improved. Surely this is peak game design and very encouraging new players to come, and ofcourse it’s not the kind of selfcuck mentality many hardcore vet poe players have XD.

Most cases it's not relevant, but in this case? Asking for "balance" with such build? The irony must be pointed out.

i used to think i needed a death log to learn.

What i learned is that you just cannot ignore defensive layers and those "random 1 shots" will never happen.

If you are scared of a soul eater mob the size of the screen 1 shotting you, your build is not tanky enough.

If you can tank shaper slam without molten shell you're generally not getting 1 shot in maps unless its a harvest bear, vaal robot dude from a2, or malacha out of the ground slam thing. If you have 60k ele hit you will probably be fine mapping as well.

If you have any less than 20k phys hit youre gonna get 1 shot "randomly" if youre less than 30k ele hit same thing. Especially if your res isnt overcapped for curse/exposure.

And where exactly in the game that has those spread sheet numbers sir? Or like I said you need to go to a 3rd party app. But even then you need to maximize every defensive layers that your build can afford just to make sure. I’m a new poe player and it bugged me everytime the unique boss do some attack and I die without knowing what kind of damage was that attack. Of course I can go search it on google but hey it’s QoL, just like exp death penalty, less time wasting.
if you wanted to play a game that is incredibly simple then poe is just not your game i reckon.

Pob is a whole new game thats adjacent to poe. You can spend hours and hours there and its quite enjoyable.

Its also not a spread sheet, it has a ui that hides most of the equations and outputs mostly important data.

Just because you are new to the game and don't know the ins and outs of it in 1-2 leagues doesn't mean that system/design is bad.

Also poe isnt some, minimize time investment, maximize profit game. That is how sctrade people play but they generally will have 5k hours in the game and not know 1/100th of how the game works because their brain knows nothing but zoom and fubgun/kobe videos.

Poe is a complicated highly intricate masterpiece that allows you to learn for years and years and thats the beauty of it.

If you only played for 2 years its normal for you to not know a lot.

Well that’s exactly my point, it’s a very complex game but the transition from the tutorial campaign to the endgame content is almost non existence in poe. For example in poe2, every game mechanic or term is underlighted you can press Alt and hover over it to read for futther detail, it makes the game more bearable for new comers, unless you want to say that this game is only for nolife vet hardcore gamers then speak for yourself, if that’s true GGG would never make poe 2.
Except for the fact that exp loss adds 0 depth or complexity to the game. All it does is delete your time and force you to spend another X amount of hours getting the exp you lost back. For no reason.

Exp loss on death isn't as mystical and deep as people make it out to be. It really,really isn't.
