Kingsmarch shipments getting lost is toxic.
| " Okay, but how is it the game's responsibility to babysit players and stop them from making poor choices? Restricting the fun and freedom of 99% of the community because the remaining 1% struggle with impulse control in a game rated M for Mature is absolutely ludicrous. | |
| You are right, I dismissed it. Because it warrants no one else's attention. Hence....the fact that it is a PERSONAL issue. This is all the more obvious by your own description that everyone is going to feel it differently, if at all. You really think the developers, or I, or anyone here, need to address every single person's unique feelings of FOMO on different aspects of the game? And how in the world, even if we WERE to address it....would we do anything about it? For example: your FOMO when you were unable to log in due to life getting in the way, and then the feelings you had of what you lost in your time away. What the heck am I or anyone supposed to do or say about that other than....sorry? Or should they remove daily rewards in response to your FOMO....but then ignore the folks that will then complain with THEIR FOMO of having been able to log in and get these rewards, only to now have them taken away? Because that's exactly what would happen in THIS scenario with Kingsmarch: rewards are so significantly higher for bigger shipments BECAUSE the risk is great. If GGG were to lower the risk, they would obviously lower the rewards too. And then we are in the exact same boat (ha) of FOMO yet again. At some point, personal responsibility and control HAS to take an active role. Your own great example of this: "its why i dont like ultimatum. i m always tempted to make it harder regardless of whether i can or not. even in settlers i have to purposely NOT make the blue ore encounter too hard. i have to actively tell myself. stop at 40-50%. " Yes....YOU have to actively take charge of yourself. No one else can do it for you. Nor should they be required or asked to. There's a reason that casinos and alcohol aren't outright banned from the face of the earth....and as Caribbean points out, why this game is rated M for Mature. | tbh, i m not here to convince you guys. i m just pointing it out. [Removed by Support] i m pointing it out for the benefit of GGG and whoever else that has these issues. [Removed by Support] | |
| Genuinely don't understand how anyone can "blame" their FOMO on anything or anyone else. I could have sworn GGG was a video game developer company....not a counselor or therapist. Starting anew....with PoE 2 | |
| and yet they actually give provisions where anyone who emails them asking the support to block their ability to purchase lootboxes will have that feature blocked for them. it definitely is a "them" issue, but ggg did something nice for them. i've seen many like you. its not you dont understand. you simply refuse to. people can explain to you in great detail but you yourself already brushed all of it off to the side. but thats fine. you dont work at ggg. | ^lol oh okay.....cuz real money issues are even remotely comparable to freaking playing the damn game. Right. You can also self-ban yourself from casinos. But YOU are the one that has to request that. Duh. They won't do it out of the goodness of their hearts. You know what is? That is YOU being aware of your own issues with FOMO and asking for help. Great that they offer it, but its still the same. YOUR problem and YOUR solution to it. You aren't about to get an email from GGG saying: We are concerned you are spending too much money on boxes, would you like us to block your account from purchases? That is truly absurd. And the fact that you seem to think that I'M the one ignoring things? ***I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't literal LAWS in place that force GGG as a company to give us that offer in the first place, by nature of lootboxes being a form of gambling. I know for a fact there are many lootbox control laws in place in countries in Asia. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Oct 27, 2025, 6:37:47 AM | |
| Why are you guys calling me a gambling addict just because I said there shouldn't be such risks associated with this content, I simply made a comparison to other core mechanics and said there is no reason why it should be like that I know you guys like using the word FOMO to sound smart but this has nothing to do with it. | Yes you are describing the way it currently works good job, by posting in feedback section I am suggesting it shouldn't work like that in an ideal world because other core mechanics are not nearly as punishing and arguably more rewarding than settlers aside from tattoos and runegrafts do you understand my english now? | |
