Changing premium tabs to merchant

Hi Exiles!

Just to clarify, the option to convert your Premium Stash Tab to a Merchant's Tab will be made available on the Path of Exile 2 website when the 0.3.0 patch is deployed on August 29th (PST).

With the release of 0.3.0 the Merchant's Tabs will be available for purchase in the Path of Exile 2 shop. You will be able to convert Premium Stash Tabs purchased prior to these being released; Premium Stash Tabs purchased afterwards cannot.

August 29th is not a deadline to convert your stash tabs by. Hope this helps!

How will this conversion work with regards to PoE 1? As I understood these tabs will not be available in PoE 1 so is there a check to ensure the once we convert are empty in PoE 1 or how will this work?

Also, sorry but have to ask, if we can convert tabs like this why is there no 4:1 premium to quad at this point? The tech must be there then.

Will Quad Merchant Tabs be available for purchase later?

Very happy with this feature overall, but if it's possible to support tab-based pricing that would make a big difference for folks who put up hundreds of items for sale in bulk and lower prices over time, to spend an order of magnitude less time price checking.

I echo this comment. Hopefully GGG would add this feature to the Merchant tabs before release.
Never say never... GGG may add Quad merchant tabs in the future; however, it is likely a very conscientious choice to not allow it at this time.

It was stated in the past that Quad tabs divided GGG because it sacrificed visual identity of the item and I/O interaction of the stash tab for more inventory space.

1. This means that GGG added quad tabs most likely to please the masses, not because they designed / wanted to.

In a more recent interview, Jonathan mentioned the new trade system's best chance of success is to offset the pains of the old trading system while still keeping some of the pain / pressure to de-incentivize those that would try and take advantage.

The example Jonathan gave was having the buyer also needing to pay Ange, the merchant, some gold. This way the bots / scalpers / flippers, at an account level, will have to stop buying and play to get more gold as they can not buy or trade gold.

2. I suspect not allowing quad merchant tabs promotes this pain / pressure for now. People playing the game and trading to further their characters will likely not need more than a few normal sized merchant tabs, but it de-incentivizes the large trading that a bot / scalper / flipper would need.

As I said, never say never, but while quad merchant tabs are not possible for the new trading system, the old trading system will still be alive. Jonathan stated that they can't remove it because people specifically bought premium tabs and premium upgrades to normal tabs specifically to trade and they will not go back on that... at least for now.

Oh man PLEASE support tab-based pricing at a bare minimum. Quad tab support would be nice to have but I would consider tab-based pricing to be an absolute requirement to preserve my sanity.

Nope. Only straight Premium Stash Tab purchases.

Will items be able to be priced via the tab name in Merchant tabs the way they're able to be priced currently via Premium stab names, so you can price the entire tab and not have to tediously set a price on every single individual item?
No, you have to individually price each item. The interface does auto-fill with your last price however.

Please change both to yes.
i have like 60 premium tabs on poe1 that are almost full of stuff on Standard.

what happens if i convert few on poe2?

if those disappear on poe1 how do i know which tabs get converted?
d:-D*
So what's the point of me purchasing quad tabs then? Do you expect me to buy multiple new premium tabs just to engage in async trading?

Same question. If all my premium tabs have items in them what happens when we convert them to merchant tabs.
PLS support tab based pricing.
In the original trade, sellers don't want to leave map for low value i.e 5c items. This then creates a pain point for BUYERS who have to whisper multiple people.

If the new set up forces sellers to individually price 5c items one by one, all its doing is shifting the bad experience to sellers.
No on is gonna wast time putting alot of items for 5c :(.

I fear it will not solve issue. People will still need to whisper 20 people for cheap items and hope and pray one of them leaves map.

Please implement tab pricing.
