careless people skipping valuable things. wouldn't happen to us in ruthless where everything matters
RUTHLESS
Hi GGG, I'll add my speculative suggestion here, since I do not want to create a whole post about it.

If you want to add Mercenaries to the Core, but are unsure how to do it, may I suggest you make hiring a Mercenary a temporary ally, with unmodifiable gear slots, while keeping everything else the same? And by temporary, I mean that a hired Mercenary keeps you company for the next 5-15 areas, not counting hideouts, towns and such, to fulfill its contract. With this we'd have a constant rotation of mercs hired, with up to 3 to use in our reserves, and would not need to care about switching their gears.

But if you would want to insist on changing their gear, then allow it with the suggestion I made above. In this case, when a merc has fulfilled its contract, it will leave with the gear items with it. When you meet the merc again, it still has the items you gave to it, and the other pieces randomized once again. Now to rehire him, you'll have to defeat him with the items you gave to it.

In both above cases, mercs could have an increased chance to reappear if they were previously hired.
>2 duel winners sent their Mercenary, and thus also their Mageblood, to Exile.

Absolute maniacs.
Interesting statistics!

Only information I'm missing is how many of the players who lost their Mirrors/Mage Bloods etc. haven't logged in since that happend? xD

Would be nice to know how many mercenaries died/spawned overall.... But That would probably show how small are the odds of hitting something good
And the reason why people skip mercenaries
..lame

Yeah people skip them entirely which is crazy because it takes 3 seconds to see if they have some chaos or not, or a kalandra, hh, etc. and if you don't feel like doing it and you must already have a good rolled infamous type of your merc.

People will find any excuse not to do something and then complain about it. Lol
