How Secrets of the Atlas Launch Went

Imagine creating a game more unstable than Blizzard products and having near to none communication with your customers about the problems.

This all and the fact that, once again, the league was not tested at all.

Bring Chris back, you guys are ruining it.

I was afking in my hideout for 2 hours without a DC. European server. 2 min into a map i got dc'd... Whats that about?

Hideout is a different instance. I spent some time in Kalgur and trading without crashing. But after started farming maps got most instantly dcs

I guess trade bots are celebrating

I have been DC'ing in my hideout and in town just as much as anywhere else.
lmao, delete more messages that say the true state of your servers
PoE 1 players waiting a year just to be upset with how GGG has been communicating and dealing with updates on PoE 2 since DotH launched 😂

With their new date based update commitment I have a feeling they'll be fixing PoE 1 long enough that PoE 2s update will be quite scant...leading to eventually just having smaller updates due to releasing updates for 2 games.
nice patch. kicked from server after 30 sec. ggg the best

European servers are being DDOS’d doesn’t explain why US servers are so unstable to the point they’re not playable.

It does actually, the European's that want to play the game are having to login to NA servers to play the game. That's why Wash DC is having so many fits, its the fastest ping to EU.
So,now online in steam ~80k and we still have ddos issue? NICE.Im done.Fck this league and fck the mister vision. I wanna see his stream playing poe.
Just spit-balling here, but perhaps one of the best ways you could avoid some of what happened in the future is to:

Stop
Doing
Dev
Up
To
The
Wire

You'd think, after all the years you've been running this, after launching POE2, you'd have learned your lesson to ignore that little voice that says "Oh we have a week before launch, we can change it!"

I say this as an experienced engineer, including a stint in the video game industry.

Running stuff to the last minute opens the door for these sorts of things. I used to think all the issues were just a side effect of small size / etc. Now I think some of it is just your inability to say "No, we're going live with the build we know works. We'll work on another build that modifies / tweaks things the way we'd like to see them and it'll be a fast-follow patch."
