First week of this league you could fish the divine map mod and get out with 15-40 div's (depending on your setup). the bug have been living for over a month, nobody was complaining, just have fun. This dont break the economy as the first bugs of the league and they didnt reset anything so...

in addition to that, the moto of GGG was find this hidden recipe, look for this cool interaction, so players did this no official statement on GGG saying it was a bug and not an intended interaction and suddenly people ask for bans and shit?

Reverting items to the intended state is good enough lesson.
Next time the whole community will know that it's no use to spend currency trying to craft or buy bugged items. Just like 23843% fire res chests on Standard taught people a different lesson before: that bugged items can stay and be a good investment.
Public statement is also warranted, like "don't buy, don't use, don't mirror, everything will be reverted, thus spent currency will be wasted"

There is a reason ggg is taking as long as they're. Cheaters caused extra development work on a weekend. Someone is gonna pay.

It would be fair not to ban anyone, but simply remove ALL items from the game with more sockets than they should have. I'm sure it's not difficult to do.

Holy Moly... GGG is this really going to be the game Strat from now on.

YOU Designed this Necropolis league. and this is not your first time creating a league. Path of exile is of right now in one of the worst states ever.


I have made 4 different builds this league to use some of the meta strategies, BUT EVERY TIME IM READY TO USE THE MECHANIC, its getting nerfed.

THIS IS NOT THE GGG WAY TO KEEP THEIR PLAYERS ACTIVE!

Normal GGG Would: Gone ahead and communicated with their players about this and told it would have ben nerfed at next league.

Stop fixing everything midways and give us the joy for the leagues. this is not the way to handle things GGG. and I wish Chris would answer this and tell me first hand that this is not the old path GGG is going anymore.

IF YOU FIX THE Squire/claw/one-hand Sword/other items with gems on, then you also fix the chest on std with 23k fire res. other wise, i will 100% let you know this is the last league im playing path of exile. this is not the way to do this. YES HOTFIX A PROBLEM, NO DONT FIX ISSUES YOU MADE YOURSELF. do a hotfix on the craft, not the items. LETS CONTINUE TO HAVE MEMES.

Sure, so the fact that the items was abused for weeks to gain a vastly unfair advantage is just to be ignored ? and you call that fair ? I am sure that will teach them an hard lesson: abuse all you can, you will never be punished for it.
Whats fair is ban everyone in possession of such an item, since there are just two categories: abusers, and wanna be abusers. And none of them needs to be incentivated.

dude this bug was there since league start, they are working on the weekend because they want to.

bug is fixed nobody can exploit it anymore, ggg will revert items to the original state, so whiners cant whine anymore. why keep pushing when league have less than 40k concurrent players (21% of player base when league was launched, worst retention since archnemesis and second worst overall)?

let people have fun on a "dead league" economy was crushed since day 1 and there was no rollback, why would they ban people for having a 6L kaoms?

Its kinda fun that ppl, who abuse this thing, crying right now about this fix. Its like cheaters who crying about getting banned for using cheats xdd. Really funny to see that.

Really fun bug, thx for fix, hope you will remove all sockets form items so bug abusers will cry harder and harder

Also maded 300 divs in 1.5 hour on those idiots who bought undefined items to make them 6 socket, that all we know will be fixed xddBusiness
