What is going to happen to bane if hex are permanent? will it last with one cast and be done when the enemy dies? and what about the moving hexes to other enemies when that creature dies? does that mean that we have a new ED and contagion?
Did any of the changes affect Soul Mantle? I'm running a totem build and it doesn't seem to be applying curses when my totem's die.

Bane will pretty much be the same as usual.
It's part of the funky nature of the tags but shortest explanation is Bane itself is not a curse but inflicts curses.

It's kind of like how mines are considered spells but because they are also trigger skills and ergo "cast on" support gems don't affect the actual mine skills.

It's part of the "not so great" necessary knowledge for game mechanics in PoE.
Like auras and curses are categorized as spells, but do not benefit whatsoever from SPELLpower.
