I have some problems, i cant replace my Devouring Diadem, because i cant sustain my Auras otherwise.
Same goes for the chest, without Hyrri´s Ire i dont have enough Dex and spell suppression.
Defense wise its not bad, i mostly die because i didnt pay attention, but it could be better, PoB says im at around 6Millon Dps.
If i had to chose, i would rather go more damage than more defensive, but maybe both is possible ?
My Budget is around 20 Divine Orbs.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction. :)


Maybe i'm missing something, but your quiver has +1 arrow and i can't see another gear with +1 arrow. If it is the case, using +1 arrow hurts a lot your DPS because your totem shoots in V shape.

I’m running 5 auras with a blizz helm. (Precision, Determination, Grace, Defiance, Malevolence) leaving me with 4 mana. Took the Grace node on the passive tree and a small cluster with 50% off mana res. for Mal. Level 3 enlightenment. Using Hyrri’s Ire too. To do that you’l need all 6 gems linked, although you could also do it with 2 x enlightenment.

I still get cheap shots where I have no idea what killed me. I’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t practically get enough defense to avoid the cheap shots and need to be very selective in what event you choose to play. Doing that robs you of some of the game’s features. If you want to reach 100, I guess the way to do it is join carry groups. I don’t think the build is so much a problem, at least for me, as the required constant attention to level over such a long period of time.

Attention to gear detail makes a difference. I just upped my ammy with a 4 div bargain and notice a little better killing reliability as subjective as that may be.

Every endgame EA alternative that don't wear the diadem have some combination of aura reservation efficiency modifiers. Options are: small cluster jewels, chest modifiers, chest/helmet implicits, helmet enchant and masteries nodes in the passive tree.

About spell supression, there are several routes to archieve the 100%. My recomendation about this is, go look at a bunch of poe.ninja builds and check for ideas (passives+items) on how they max their spell supr. Filter for builds without Hyrri (tbh, Hyrri if by far the best option for the cost, a good+6L+rare chest is gonnna cost you a lot). Then you can look in even more detail at a certain build in POB.

Finally about Dex and Str, you need to get some from a combination of a dedicated modifier in amulet (ideal) or ring, modifier in chest, modifiers in jewels (very cheap) and/or a dedicated passive node (good for the dex). The best endgame sources of str and dex in the tree are the Lethal Pride jewel (adds over 40 STR and is relatively cheap) and the "Utmost Swiftness" (+40 and +8% DEX combined) passive notable in radius of the "Precise Technique" node (reach it with the Imposible Escape jewel, not cheap but worth it).

to add to this, there is also an essence you can use to spam on your helm. I did this on my blizzard crown.
Does the projectile speed and/or the raw elemental damage(like on bow for example) do anything for this build?

The elemental damage should contribute to the fire damage from EA. I don't think projectile speed matters much at all in this build, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Any tips on an out-and-out defensive version of the endgame build?

I'm planning on grinding from 99 to 100 in general maps, so don't need the high end DPS, but want to prevent as many another-stupid-deaths as possible.

I'm thinking perhaps dropping 2 DPS jewels and running Bastion with "Bone Barrier" using forbidden jewels to create both a physical and elemental aegis. I'm running 4 endurance charges with various synergy nodes. Other than dropping DPS nodes in favour of pure HP does anyone have any ideas?

I recently made it to level 98 by grinding it out. I used Hired Killer as my amulet anoint and the Wellspring of Creation node on the Atlas tree. Found it very helpful when mapping, and didn't notice a difference against bosses.
Plus, got a Progenesis flask.
