3.10.2 Patch with Beta of Vulkan Renderer
I tried with my i5 4690k and GTX 970.
It definitely feels much much smoother. (Like it was few leagues ago). I get 130-144 fps when nothing is going on. In delirium I drop to 40-45 fps at times, but ... just at times, not like before when it constantly was dropping to 1-25 fps with big freezes here and there. Can't wait for a finished product.
does it mean the game will be at least playable when cumulating betrayal/legion/anything with delirium ?

The difference is day and night.
One thing tho. Even tho I have vSync on I still get tearing on Vulkan. edit: Tested on Cyclone CoC VD beachhead boss fight. Major improvement. From dx11 5-60 fps with majority being 5-35 with several 5 fps stutters/freezes, to vulkan 15-60 majority being ~30+ with occasional drops to 15. Running almost smooth on very old spec i5-2500k @4.3GHz, 16GB ram, gigabyte 970 G1. Can imagine the difference being a lot better on latest cpus. Last edited by yakoob on May 28, 2020, 6:32:41 AM

With further "small" testing, the fps are a little less, sometimes reach as high though (one point I got a +20fps spike, no idea why), but overall around 10-20fps less. However, it seems a little steadier, and moving around quickly using flamedashes etc to see the different fps levels (in hideout only atm, don't have time for more testing right now in maps etc, gonna do that later) it seems steadier. As in, not as high fps, but less fps drops, and the fps line is generally more consistent.
Gonna test it later on different maps too so I can see how it goes. Pop in I think was also a little better. Will do more excessive testing later. Intel Core i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 16.0GB Dual-Channel @ 2400MHz GTX1060 6GB (running at 70% power with afterburner/ 70degree max temp) All settings max except: filtering (2x Anisotropic) Shadows + GI Quality (High) No vsync. Just gave it a quick try. It looks very promising!
Super smooth gameplay. The game crashed once on loading screen, but thats why its still beta I guess. Keep up the good work! GTX 1060 3GB, i5-6400, 8GB ram, Win10 |

" Meh, that sucks :( What specs you got? |
|
" How did you figure it out?? What do you have to do to make it work?? Edit: Okay, for people having this problem, you have to access the menu from the login screen. NOT from within gameplay. God, I can't even remember the last time I looked at the menu there. Maybe never?? Last edited by codetaku on May 28, 2020, 6:34:49 AM

" You mean , when i start PoE , this Menu? Also grayed-out the Vulkan Option
" What gpu are you on? Vulkan is not supported on old gpus' I remember my gt730 did not run Vulkan at all, and the games that I could turn it on just crashed. |
