oh that is absolutely true :) . I am expecting 70-80 of the buffs to be meaningless.

They did release one unique buff today, Cloak of Flames. It looked half decent.

No one uses Cerberus Limb in the game so any buff they give might be gravy for us. Our boots are a little more used but even then they are almost never BIS for any build.

Keeping fingers crossed. Hope for best, expect the worst, yada yada :)
None of our uniques were touched.

The build will very roughly be the same for the elementalist in 3.19. We will lose one aura (probably Defiance Banner) and if one likes Arctic Armor, you can gain a buff from that. IMO, the Buff to AA will make up for the loss of Defiance Banner.

@Claey, I would recommend removing both the guardian and the inquisitor versions from the front page (along with the table).

I will take a crack at a 3.19 elementalist POB before league start once POB gets some updates for the tree changes, etc.

The change from Exalts being the best currency to Divines being the best currency is going to take a long time to get used to. Seeing an exalt drop now will be almost meaningless.
Not really impressed with the unique buffs, and I think Chris said they nerfed unique drop rates, so Aegis will be even more expensive.

The trickster rework is very interesting though, very great recovery and evasion/ES nodes. One step ahead I think will take care of the naturity affinity vines if you want the boots slot back. When POB gets updated we can check out a trickster version of this build, without Aegis

if you put something together please post it.

My knowledge of that side of the tree is lacking. I know we can likely easily get 100% spell suppression, and would likely go evasion/spell suppression instead of armor/block.

I would worry about DPS. It is likely way too far for Elemental Overload and there are very few Fire nodes on that side of the tree. Can we go crit on this side of the tree to get close to 100% crit chance (maybe with at least one of the anoints?) That would easily make up for the lack of Fire damage.
Getting well rolled uniques is going to be REALLY expensive this league since Divine orbs are going to go through the roof. I think we may be looking at one of the more difficult leagues ever from an economic point of view.

I hope GGG knows what they are doing. They literally just lit the entire Standard economy on fire and no one knows how this will play out in league yet. This is one hour after the announcement in standard....and it has risen even more since then

If they nerf the drop rate of the only Divination care that gives Divine orbs, we are in trouble :)

They are really pushing the whole "gear is what gives you power". Now you have to grind even more to get the perfect gear, since it's so costly to divine. Of course, it won't impact the really rich players, so screw the rest of us :P

I was thinking about the trickster and I think it probably won't fly. Why this build works is because aegis aurora and its infinite recovery, which I don't think trickster can match under heavy mob attacks. If Aegis was already expensive in 3.18, less unique drops will push the price even higher, and divines are harder to get than exalts (exalts have more div cards and can drop shards)
I had some free time so I took my first shot at the 3.19 Elementalist build. It looks pretty good. It is based on Claey's version from last league.

Here are my constraints:

1) The weapon, helmet, shield, bottled faith and watchers eye were rolled with AVERAGE rolls. In the past we could get all these (outside of watchers eye) perfectly rolled but I don't think that is realistic any more. Getting better rolls will improve the build obviously but I wanted to show a realistic version.

2) I removed the 15% Mana reservation mastery from the tree and replaced it with Aura effect instead.

3) I removed Defiance Banner from build. This build only requires a level 2 enlighten (MUCH cheaper than level 4). If you can afford to use a level 4 enlighten, you can probably fit back in Defiance banner using an unset ring.

4) The auras I settled on are Arctic Armor, Determination, Discipline, and Tempest Shield. If you want more offense, less defense, you can swap Discipline for Herald of Ash (make sure you change the small cluster jewel to be for determination and not discipline if you do this).

5) This is a single curse setup. I added a note in the POB how to use two curses if you prefer. You will exchange armor and endurance charges for more DPS.

6) For the first time I swapped Flame Dash out for Frost Blink. If you love Flame Dash, just do a swap of the two movement skills. I am interested to try Frost Blink for the first time. Getting around map will be a little slower, but DPS against bosses should be much more sustainable since Frost Blink does not stop us from channeling like Flame Dash does.

Here are some quick stats for this defensive version of the build:

10m+ DPS single target (Shaper)
80k+ armor (flasks and Molten Shell)
3 Endurance Charges
76/81/76/75 resists
Max block using Glancing Blows
Freeze, Shock and Stun Immune
8000+ health pool of life + ES
Lots of life/es leech and some life regen.

You can get to over 13m DPS single target if you make the Herald of Ash and second curse changes. You will lose defense though. Players choice as always.

For average rolls on the above listed uniques, this is a pretty good stat pool, IMO.

Here is a link with more info that you can import into POB if you want

If anyone sees any obvious changes or improvements, please let me know.

Seems like the build will still be solid.
Was honestly expecting some kind of nerf to Aegis, so glad they missed that ^^

Also, another solid option instead of Discipline is Aspect of the Spider, which provides both offence and defence to the build.

This is interesting. With Aspect being 25% mana reserve and Discipline being 35% reserve, I wonder if we could fit in another aura (Herald of Ash would be excellent) if we use an enlighten 4.....

If we can fit in another aura, this would be an excellent upgrade. If not, it is probably a fairly equal trade off (would lose >1000 ES and a suffix mod) and gain the aspect.
Claeysken and I just spent a long time on discord together and we came up with a significantly stronger build than the POB I posted a couple of days ago.

Claey had made some changes during 3.18 that were not reflected in the POB I used to theory craft the original 3.19 version.

Here are some highlights of the new version

1) Vaal Cold Snap - used for frenzy generation

2) Pain Attunement on Skin of the Lords - allows for a significantly more efficient tree set up. The POB note section will explain what to do until you can acquire this item.

3) Reworked the aura group. We can now support Determination, Aspect of the Spider, Arctic Armor, Herald of Ash and Tempest Shield with Enlighten 4 (you can drop aspect or hoa until you can afford Enlighten 4)

4) Added Anom Arctic Armor linked to Elemental Proliferation to freeze enemies

5) Removed controlled destruction from build to assure better up time of Elemental Overload

6) Changed the flask set up.

7) Like before, I tuned down all the uniques to have average rolls. The build will only improve if you can acquire good rolls on your uniques.

Claey, you can use this POB in the first post (and you can change the title to be over 16m if you want (we can sustain 16m even with out frenzy charges against boss with this pob).

I will update when POB updates later this week.
