Okay I went back to clarity level 1 and and still can only run clarity level 1 and precision level 2 - or else I go to 38 mana , in which I can't even attack with arc which uses 49 mana. With that, you can allocate the -4 mana reserved node below it. You'll need to use 3 larges with 2 sockets each. You may be able to use 5 PH/Heraldry and 1 PH/Endbringer in those large clusters. I would also make a +1 arc chain in the helm a priority. Just get a rare ES helm with that lab enchant and then use a deafening of loathing essence on it. I thought about typing up a guide to show a budget, mid-tier, and endgame (expensive) version but haven't spent the time to do it yet. If there is interest, I can put something together. Build is pretty fun so far! I leveled up using Divine Ire, it wasn’t that bad and I actually enjoy using the skill. It’s fun shooting a hand cannon.
I’m level 85 now and have everything besides the 3x voices with only about 20-30ex investment. Running 5x heraldry/ph (6 in a few more levels) using 3x 8 passive 2 jewel slot large clusters and the survivability is really good so far at 5.4k ES, 88% resists and 80% phys reduc. Damage is a bit low but I have some ph/endbringer ready for when I can snag some voices. Just wanted to say thanks for the fun build and looking forward to future theorycrafting/updates here :) |

A few people have asked about a guide showing progression so I thought I would post how I went progressed with my Arc Herald-Stacking Guardian. I never thought Divine Ire was a good skill so I started out with Arc. Also, leveling was brutal until about level 75. Find something that works for you while you get to at least level 70. There were a few times I almost quit out of frustration because I tried to stack heralds too soon. :)
Cluster Jewels

Probably the biggest investment you will make is the Voices large cluster jewels and the purposeful harbinger, heraldry, and endbringer cluster jewels. Here is how I would progress. Low Budget: Purchase large rare cluster jewels with decent notables with TWO jewel sockets. You will need 3 of these. While it's not exactly cheap, I would go with 5 heraldry and purposeful harbinger and a single endbringer with purposeful harbinger. If mana is a problem, go with 6 heraldry/PH. End Game: Go for 2 Voices unique cluster jewels. You'll be able to buy 7 passive Voices for about 6.5 exalted at the time of this writing. You can get by with 2 of these and 1 large cluster jewel with 2 jewel sockets at the lower end of the budget. High Budget: Go for 3 voices with 3 or 5 passives. Small Cluster Jewel Options: You can use Energy for Naught or Savour the Moment for decent ES and regen. A small cluster with Pure Might will help with mana and strength requirements. Misc Jewels

For your other jewel sockets, look for 8% Maximum Energy Shield plus some damage or crit. As a bonus, look for one that is corrupted with "Corrupted Blood doesn't affect you" or whatever it's called. Watcher's Eye

For your Watcher's Eye, there are both cheaper and more expensive options. Cheaper: Look for an eye with % critical strike chance while affected by Wrath. Look for a second mod that does physical as elemental damage while affected by a purity. Expensive: Look for an eye with the above mods but look for another that will add to the physical mitigation or another damage mod. Cold Penetration or increased cold damage while affected by Hatred would be good. Helm

Your helm should always include the lab enchant for +1 chain for Arc. Buy a high level base such as Mind Cage or Hubris as an expensive option or a Solaris or Necromancer Circlet as a cheaper option. At the time of this writing, you can buy Deafening Essense of Loathing for 20c each. Use these to get a decent helm for around 80-140c. Remember, you stacking aura effectiveness so you don't need a 300 ES helm. Mana Reservation

One of the biggest challenges with this build is mana reservation. For that, you're going to need a charisma annointment which will cost about 180c at this time (10 Apr). You'll also need to get the mana reservation nodes leading to Sovereignty in the upper left tree and the one leading to Influence near Chaos Innoculation. Another is next to Leadership near the Scion starting location. You can get this with a cheap Thread of Hope with a LARGE ring. The cheaper options should start at around 25-30 exalted. As you move to the Voices clusters and more expensive options, you can spend up to around 70-100 exalted.
