The 5k life is misleading considering you have defensive layers from TOH + Loreweave etc; assuming you have the Voidfletcher setup, you can burst the metamorph bosses down very quickly while staying outside of melee range; You won't be able to level after 92+ running rippy T15+ maps w/ metamorph bosses but you can rely on sulphite hoarding to reach 95+ without issue, and at 90+ while mapping using 4x DPS flask + 1 quicksilver you'll be able to clear pretty much everything w/ occasional deaths. I think it'll be much better to shorten the fight duration than to make yourself tankier tbh b/c some of the hits are just too ridiculous (someone earlier mentioned getting killed w/ 10k+ ES CI etc.)

Yes a Kaom's can work as well; in fact in a well-geared setup you should still have more than enough DPS but swapping between 2 Arborixes might be a pain in the ass in certain situations when boss has a lot of adds.

And with Kaom's you won't be able to do stuff like facetank Phoenix or run -max res maps as safely.

If you are expecting a super tanky build that never dies and can facetank mindlessly, yeah I don't think this build is it, but if you're worried about bricking metamorph bosses, I don't think you'll have much to worry about considering Voidfletcher's insane burst DPS will mean all encounters last only a few seconds.

hi, doing the bow build and enjoying it alot. I feel with out the elder ring the surviability is not as good at it was but good enough. wanna max out this character and could need some help.

what should be my next upgrade for more damage? and sinse the multicraft is gone whats the stats im looking for before puting the new 3 craft mode on ring and amulet. And is it more damage with mark of the elder ring or with 2 crafted rings? thx for al the answers before this one, keep up the good work


Hi there; yeah unfortunately it's tough now that they decided to nerf multimod. I'm not sure exactly how the mechanics for Awakener's Orb works, but I think it's possible to create a ring that has shaper + elder influence thus enabling you to run Mark of the Elder along with a LGOH ring, plus you'd get stun immunity as well. Idk though this is just speculation atm (and would be expensive as well).

I don't recommend multimod tbh; the 3 additional mods it adds includes the multimod itself, so you only get 2 additional mods; aka 2 ex cost for an extra mastercraft, which is just stupid. You're better off spending 2 ex to buy a decent base (3-4 mods) and just mastercrafting one mod on there. Mark of the Elder beats out pretty much any DPS ring costing <10 ex.

I'm not sure what upgrade you'd need since you didn't link your gear.

Dying Sun is only improvement to KB clear, not single target DPS. If you need more single target, you're better off getting a flat cold hatred Watcher's.

It's actually really hard for a regular rare wand to beat Poet's. Last league when we had access to a rare multimodded wand (~6-7 ex craft cost), it was a bit better than Poet's, but any 300+ pdps wand you find will probably not be able to beat a Poet's (esp a corrupted one) unless it has other very good mods like high crit, ele pen, etc. in which case the wand itself would prob cost more than the Poet's.

I'll look into it further but last few times I checked none of the rare wands were really worth it. Sure on POB the DPS will be higher, but this always overestimates the actual DPS b/c you won't have curses/cold exposure up 24/7.

Hi there; yeah it has! I only left that comment there b/c I change my mind throughout a league as I find ways to optimize the build; but as of now I don't plan on really making changes to the core setup; only thing I would add is to put Frost Bomb into wand (in place of Enhance).

Can confirm frost bomb works, with the %AS increases I'm seeing no issues using it. I'm actually swapping over to the bow build currently (I got lucky and 6l an Arborix in 50 fusings, Merry Christmas me!)
I would suggest putting the order as
Proj Weakness / Wave - whichever one of those you didnt use - frost bomb.
As you don't need it for short fights.

I'm working on saving up some currency to make the bow version of this build. Are two 6-links required right off the bat to effectively be doing high tier maps/metamorphs or could I get away with a 5 link for a while? If so, would you do the clear or single target as the 5L?

Just an update on the int stacking wander. I was able to do shaper and Awakener deathless. Killed uber elder too but took a couple of deaths due to stupid mistakes in the first 50% of the fight. Damage feels ok for all these end bosses. I found a cute spot to use the new thread of hope jewel (large) to pick up assassination, master of force, piercing shots, and soul raker. Having pierce on the power siphon actually feels great vs metamorphs and other places where there are multiple rares.

Going to try to go for 40/40 achievements on this char, I should be able to easily sell Awakener carries and 600 delve should not be too bad either. Overall quite satisfied with how the int stacking worked out!

I play on a potato PC. Because of that, I decided to try making a "tankier" version of the build by using a Kaom's Heart and two Arborix bows instead of a Loreweave. The thing is, I seem to have failed spectacularly. I truly do not understand what I've done wrong to make my version of the build so ridiculously weaker than the PoB shared in the OP. If someone could point out what mistakes I seem to have made I would really appreciate it! I already know my links aren't perfect and my Arborixi could use divining. But those two issues alone shouldn't leave me operating at 1/10th the damage output, right?

Well there are a lot of issues with your setup that add up to make your DPS much weaker. For example, using a Vinktar when it's a bad flask for this build (should be either Atziri's Promise/Wise Oak). Keep in mind high DPS is a form of defense in it's own, by shortening all boss encounters to mere seconds, it lowers your risk of dying even on a potato pc.

You didn't take Point Blank on tree which is one of the most important nodes for single target damage.

Your barrage is only on a 5L, and the Arborix you're using is a legacy one from a long time ago that's way worse than the current version. This needs to be replaced asap, not to mention the lack of 8%+ additional quality on it. A high roll does matter considering you derive most of your base flat damage from the bow itself.

Your diamond flask should have a warding suffix, you should get at least a 1-mod Watcher's eye, amulet anointment, barrage enchant, flat cold boot enchant, etc.

Two of your jewels are bad for the build, lacks life (counterproductive to using Kaom's) and flat ele doesn't get scaled effectively

I suggest reading my entire guide carefully and following it exactly as I laid it out (aside from the Kaom's +2nd Arborix); there are so many items in your setup that deviate entirely from what I wrote in the guide, all these minor things add up to limit your DPS.

Yes a 6L and a 5L will work fine for the time being. It also depends on if you're using Voidfletcher. If you are, then Barrage on a 5L shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise I'd keep Barrage on 6L and clear skill on 5L.

Very nice :) perhaps you'll write a guide on int stacking :P I'm sure there'll be people currently playing this wander setup who are willing to switch over to that.

Yeah with practice, and maybe a little larger life pool Sirus should be no issue with the bow setup.

Here's how I go about swapping flasks.

When I want to run T15+ red maps alch and go, and don't care about leveling, I run 4x DPS flask (corrupted blood jewel mandatory), so yes replace life flask w/ Atziri's promise. You will die occasionally but it doesn't matter you can melt everything. Then once I get enough niko missions, I join a rota, etc. to get full sulphite, I swap the Atziri's Promise for life flask and delve low T16 zones to reach lvl 95+. You can also replace life flask with Cinderswallow Urn (crit chance) for delving (and replace diamond suffix with something useful as well such as acceleration).

The only bosses where I suggest using a life flask are: Shaper, Uber Elder, Chimera, Lightning elder guardian (forget his name), Awakener ofc. But sometimes I get too lazy and just go in with 4x DPS flasks and end up doing fine.

Rest of the bosses you should be fine w/ 4x DPS setup. Same with the awakener guardians. Sometimes if the mods are too rippy for minotaur/hydra, I replace 4th flask with basalt to mitigate phys.

When I farm Uber Lab, i replace life flask with Basalt.

if map you're running has rippy mods + reduced life recovery, I suggest bubbling life flask.

And a short update on swapping to bows!
So for anyone doing the Poets and planning on swapping over, you'll probably need to swap at least the following:
Weapon and shield (duh)
Helmet (barrage or other ench) - get a base and fossil / essence craft
Amulet / offslot ring - you'll be picking up res on helm so can change these out. Or do the same for the belt.
Jewels on the tree

So far my gear looks as follows:


And then the standard flask set up. Purchases up next are a Watchers eye and more jewels on the tree (planning on at least 1x more rare and the Watchers) then a Dying Sun and another gear overhaul to drop Holy Dominion off the neck.
Some stuff to consider:
New influenced boots can roll gain X phys as cold. Looks like these with 100+ res, 30% move speed and phys as cold will be our new chase item. Currently going for somewhere around 50+ ex...
Jewellery - DON'T BUY THE FIRST GOOD ONE YOU SEE. The amulet above cost me 6c, whilst its not perfect (eventually want pen, T1 WED and T1 gain.) Keep a search going for a few hours and check whats offline also.

Overall - glad I swapped. Testing out red maps currently the damage ceiling feels a lot higher (Voidfletcher is crazy good). Only sucky thing is not being able to cancel blood rage on weapon swap. I think the plan eventually will be a second Arborix with a Rigwalds to test out TS clear but thats a way down the road yet.

Also question for anyone, is it worth corrupting the Arborix to be 30% on beastcraft? Managed to divine the one above to 110-261 but evasion was rubbish (61%). Wasn't sure if the extra 10% qual would be a big boost.
