Another uh oh -- Wicked Ward is getting pulled out of the Ascendancy and nerfed as a keystone.

Damn, I didn't know about that. Looks like I picked the right league to take a PoE break for a while. :D
This was posted a few days ago on reddit and not in this thread, but it seems pretty nice for us as flasks are so flexible:

SoD + Forbidden Taste = instaheal (and 10%dodge to boot). The only downside is it will take 2 flask slots, but for those of us without ES on hit Watcher's Eye it could be an option.

We have lots of flask room. Between Sorrow and Vaal Discipline, we're in good shape IMO.

How much HP do we have? It isnt like "now all HP flasks takes ES values as HP and applied also to ES"...
Hi there!

I'm going to roll this char in SSF at Friday, but i wonder -- i can get to prolly 1500 int, and ~8k ES, but will it be enough to do shaper/uelder, or some delve bosses? I'm concerned also about clear speed, not looking for zoom zoom, it's obviously not that kind of build (and btw i did my only 40/40 using WI back when it was on zerker ^^), but just thinking loud and asking more experienced players if those stats mentioned above will suffice? With some luck and patience i hope for 1,7k INT, but probably not more.

What's your opinion?
I've played scion w/ scorching ray rather than occultist/winter orb, but... Shaper yes, delve bosses depends on the level (300? shouldn't be a problem), uber is doable but it's going to be hard unless you can get to 9-10k ES.

Shaper - definitely yes, I did him with about 7.5k ES deathless, just don't get slapped by balls(i.e. stay close all the time, you can tank the slam). To this day I've only found one Delve boss, the architect or whatever, deathless too. Spawning uelder is too much work for me so can't say anything about him. Red elder is ez though.

I did Uber Elder in the Synthetis Event after 1 week from first try with 1830 intelligence and 10k ES with just 1 death though it can be done deathless if you pay attention, know the fight well and have good dodge skills.

For a very good player with excellent dodge skills it can be done even with lower ES and Int values.

Shaper is way easyer, with 8K ES and 1500 Intelligence the fight wouldn't raise any problems if you ask me.

Looks like a few nerfs for us:

"
We've decided that Winter Orb, Storm Brand, Bane and Soulrend were too powerful for clearing through content without heavy investment, so the damage and other aspects have been reduced in power.

"
The Occultist now only has a single Energy Shield based notable, with a condensed and limited version of the previous Energy Shield notables. The ability for energy shield to be uninterruptible if recovery has started recently has moved to a new Keystone found near the Witch, making the mechanic available to a broader selection of characters, though with a new downside.

"
We've removed the powerful passive clusters behind many keystones. These passives were being used to add additional power to Keystones in a way that worked well on the passive tree, but unique items were unable to receive the same power without characters being able to double up by taking both the unique and the keystone.

"
We've made a number of changes to bonuses to Energy Shield on the passive tree. The value of increases to energy shield on various passive clusters have been lowered, with some flat energy shield available early in the passive tree. This will let energy shield have some extra defensive benefits at early levels, while reducing the potential Energy Shield that a fully invested late game character can achieve.

"
The inclusion of the Dense Fossil with Delve and the item quality crafted modifiers with Betrayal significantly increased the potential energy shield available on many item slots, with minimal investment. The values granted were too great, so we've made changes to both Dense Fossils and quality crafted modifiers.

You can no longer craft any local item quality modifiers on Boots, Gloves and Helms. You will still be able to craft them on body armour and shields.

Dense Fossils no longer include local armour, evasion or energy shield suffixes. Instead, the fossils will have local item quality as a potential suffix on body armour and shields, with a slightly higher potential value than the craftable modifiers. Other item slots will have new modifiers appropriate to their defences.

So, pending passives tree... Presumably this means clearspeed is a bit faster than the Scion (WO still does damage, SR does not), and ES is slightly higher (still get one ES notable vs none), while damage remains lower.

That should take us closer to the pre-delve figures for this build, where ~12k ES and ~2500 int were possible. Perhaps we should ignore ES nodes from the tree entirely, in which case int is perhaps going to be higher.
