Last time I played the berserker version of this build in 3.0, now I want to start the new league so I was wondering if it's better this build or the ascendant ?

Uh oh. Immortal call no longer gives you invulnerability to physical damage. We may need to switch to the new Steelskin.

" Steelskin is only 70% absorb, so it also won't proc Arakaali. This, plus the "adjustment" to Winter Orb do not look great for this build. :( | |

Worst case scenario, back to scorching ray, which could also facetank everything in the game (albeit less reliably).
Blood rage was a relatively new thing and not 'core'. Winter Orb depends on how much it's nerfed of course, but it's always likely that this build would fall a few places in the meta-rankings with a melee focussed season. Unrelated, but I skipped the last two servers, but will play something again this time round, WI if there's a build as good as 3.3/3.4. Still got 90 pages to catch up on in this thread though... |

I have no doubts that Kelvynn will keep this viable no matter how many nerfs GGG throws our way. I'm taking a break and skipping the next league but I will keeps tabs on this thread to see how things turns out.
People have been crying about melee needing a rework for years so nothing surprising. The Immortal Call nerf seems a bit extreme however, but that's the name of the game with this game. :) |

if WO gets nuked.. maybe cyclone cwc instead for clear and maybe blight cwc or divine ire cwc for single target?
have finally gotten used to the lab... I dont hate it anymore.:)

Another uh oh -- Wicked Ward is getting pulled out of the Ascendancy and nerfed as a keystone.

If WO gets nuked, I'll switch to Cyclone. Also, WW being taken out of ascendancy means it will probably be replaced with something else, we should wait to see what exactly.
