[3.17] Beginner Friendly Arc Mines Guide | All Content on 5L | Lvling Guide

To everyone leveling this as a second/third Char and have some space C to spare for leveling gear, I found this very useful and it carried me till 65 at aquadocks.

I am not a good enough player to know if this is the best setup but it was fast and clean :)

Finally!

BEHOLD

Tabula of the Kaom's Belly
Spoiler

Now I've dropped Empower and put added lightning dmg.
This is one of the strongest chars I've ever made.
This was never answered:

I have recently switched to the GC(Glacial Cascade) version of this since I saw people talking about it.

I would like to ask for some pointers from the crowd on the GC build, am I doing it correctly? Are my gems optimal? What are my next upgrades I should look for? Do you just spam GC and Detonate when you kill bosses with it?

PoB: https://pastebin.com/nXNdP27h
PoB Arc(w/ Wrath) - Average Hit: 71468
PoB GC(w/ Hatred) - Average Hit: 53483
PoB Level: 91 - Life: 3775 - Mana: 2032 - Evasion: 1434 - Resists: 79/79/79/-13
(I don't focus on buying life/mana, maybe this is a flaw? I mostly only die to Syndicate 1-shots)

nice! Sadly I am nowhere near these times. Would need to learn layouts and practice a lot I guess.
@mptrunks you might want to check out Windz's guide on GC-mines. However, I must admit I don't really see the point of GC in this patch (in softcore). Arc has much much better clearspeed and also kills all the bosses with ease.

@wojnar Just did the same with my

"Will totally get nerfed in 3.6"-Loreweave
Spoiler

Sadly just one white socket from vorici lvl 3 but this is enough for my needs (swapping added cold in and out).

@rvonvihar High level syndicate members are currently the hardest content in the game outside of Uber-Elder. However, you can certainly avoid most of the problems with this build (very rare one-shots seem unavoidable). For the very endgame:
1. Get Loreweave+Wise Oak (tri-balanced) = 82% effective max-res.
2. Get 7.5+ life+mana, as well as acro+phase acro + vaal grace
3. Get high dps to kill them very fast
4. Don't stand still too long or you die.
5. There is no point in kiting them as they can kill you off-screen.

So press utility flasks and vaal grace, close in, move a lot, and kill fast.

6. Learn about the different syndicate members and their attacks! Ones you know a bit, you can deal with certain people differently. That takes some time but really helps a lot.

I am doing all of this and just got to lvl95. I have not died at all from 94->95 (since doing uber-elder) and have not died to a syndicate member since lvl92.

Edit: Well it seem 3.5.0d will also help A LOT.

thx..... already working on it...but thx for help!!!!
Great guide - good detail - nice description - I am trying it now...

I have a question. The Blood Drinker passive gives .4% ATTACK damage leeched as life and 8% increased life. But all I can see is SPELL damage from ARC. Where is ATTACK damage coming from in this build, or are we taking that node for the life and not the leech?

Thanks.

Just for %life. We don't leech.
I already commented here and got an answer so thank you. Back with another question, why don't you use shield charge if you have a shield? Is it too slow even with faster attacks? Could get fortify in there aswell.

The guide says to pick demolition specialist as the last ascendancy - why's that?

The 20% chance at an additional mine is on average only a 5% damage gain if you have the extra mine helm, and the other two effects seem pointless, while explosives expert at least provides 10% pen and 20% inc damage on lightning spire.

so what about 100% mine arming (arc cast) speed?

Is that really that big of a deal? I selected the ascendancy in uber lab yesterday just to test it, but I can't even feel any difference.

I assume mine arming speed is supposed to mean I can blow my mines up earlier after putting them down, but there is already barely any delay there anyways.
