[3.9] Cyclone Summoner - Heralds of Agony and Purity, Summon Holy Relic - League starter
|
Switched to Cyclone (i'm level 33now) Followed first two "Melee" skill trees, then switched to Cyclone skill trees... I now have herald of agony and herald of purity, but at this moment i can't activate them both... is that normal for this stage of leveling or did I do something wrong?
thanks in advance! Last edited by drumcorp1986#0485 on Dec 25, 2018, 10:14:29 AM

What do you think about 2x essence worm ? hatred/haste or hatred/dicispline with watcher'eye ?

I am currently using withering touch support but wondering if culling is better in 2man group or withering still op?
also trying to free up a flask spot so i can test Witchfire Brew aura to buff Herald of agony crawler dmg on bosses let me know if anyone tried. Edit: is there a higher budget chest to swap to end game? moooo Last edited by faids4you#6434 on Dec 25, 2018, 8:21:28 PM

" Doubtful that you can beat the chest unless you spec heavily into reduced mana reservation and drop the essence worm. The chest allow you to run a 6link herald setup and a 5 to 7link herald setup whitout even flinching and if you add a avoid stun craft you also because stun immune i think. Gamertag : DCDT Dito

This is the craziest and possibly best build I've played in PoE so far. I've leveled entirely too many alts to maps, and this is the first one where I've been able to facetank A10 Kitava and Uber Izaro while underelevelled, without even caring about dodging their mega death attacks. It does that while still managing to crank out pretty great DPS with the pet horde following you around.
The build is an amazing synergy of a ton of mechanics that somehow piece together into "just hold down the cyclone button until everything is dead, then shield charge to the next pack and repeat". I'm just now getting to red maps, but I'm amazed at how hard it is to die with less than 100c spent on my gear. |

So I've taken this build in a slightly different direction, still room for growth, but feels far stronger then using the original concept.
My advice is get rid of the holy relic 4 link since they are too flimsy for high level maps and replace the gems with a convocation and spirit or flesh offering setup. Vaal haste is also a good aura if you like having a extra button to press now and then and moving through maps faster. I would also recommend several items as huge power spikes. Get a ring with a open spot for Shock enemies, 20% more damage for your minions, bosses will melt even faster, you can also get 25% dodge chance on helm/boots as a good focus option. I had trouble thinking of a good 5th flask for this build and then it hit me that this is absolutely perfect for your massive HP pool and high regen, you'll naturally have high chaos resist from the shield and passives and you should focus on finding chaos resist gear to hit positives for this league anyway, my regen outpaces the degen out of combat and in-combat you'll be topping yourself off, it is a must-have panic button when something comes around that can bring you down to 5% suddenly. A claw like this, while missing attack speed due to space, is a great weapon and saves you from needing to use a second cast when damage taken gem setup and also has a better blind support which frees you to use culling strike instead, 2 gem slots freed up is a massive benefit. As for taking this build even further, ultra-ultra lategame I could probably fit in a Aul's amulet for a free aura and replace Essence worm with a elder unset ring which could have poachers mark on-hit curse to free up the enfeeble gem slot. As for the aura to take, probably discipline with a watcher's eye for spellblock and +30 energy shield on hit to give you even more tank. Last edited by Uberness#3168 on Dec 30, 2018, 12:13:25 PM

" Very common when leveling. Before Coming Calamity, you have to reduce support on both heralds or just run Herald of Agony. I think more information is available in the OP. I used Mooginator's post earlier in this thread for info on this. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Hello fellow cyclone summoners,
I have played this build during the last week of delve and now in Betrayal, for about 400 hours total. Thank you systemplayerlost, IchiMorghulis and all other contributors to this guide! It is an excellent league starter build. I recommend simply sticking to the guide, with one tiny exception that had already been brought up several times here: You really don't need/want additional poison chance on jewels. There are just much more valuable stats. In my opinion, cyclone summoner is also an excellent endgame build. My goal is/was to be able to delve as deep as possible and to safely kill Auls and Uber Elder. Currently, I am at depth 600 and have killed several Auls and Uber Elders. My PoB: https://pastebin.com/BATByS1r The skill tree is taken from IchiMorghulis. I can really recommend the reduced damage from crits for deep delves. Detailed explanation of my current setup:
Spoiler
The +1 corruption results in about 30% more DPS. 3 green 2 red (vicious projectiles instead of maim) would be slightly better, but that difference is not worth 20ex to me right now. For Uber Elder, Shaper, Aul I switch pierce for vicious projectiles. I don't use "Trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill", because an attack speed suffix is just too valuable in my opinion. 20% attack speed on claw means 20% more attack speed, as opposed to the increased attack speed modifiers everywhere else with diminishing returns. Unfortunately, a claw with blind chance, lgoh vs blind, attack speed AND "Trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill" is impossible (except for an extremely lucky double veiled mod). I am happy with my cwdt convocation anyway. The bleed chance is for bloodlust on HoP, rather unimportant. Enchanted helmet with +2 for minion gems, life and regen. The enchant is simply a must have, 40% more dps vs bosses and much better clear. Withering touch synergizes well with HoA, bloodlust is slightly better then melee phys dmg support. 6L gloves with life and a third useful suffix. Lvl 21 cyclone + increased aoe support gives cyclone a radius of 20 instead of 15. This might not seem that much, but the difference between hitting something and being too far away is a matter of life and death with this build. I am using Kaoms Roots for Uber Elder, so I need enough resistances without boots anyway, making 2 socket Bubonic Trail the ideal choice. I am still hoping for the life regen enchantment. Life recovery rate and a lot of max life. Auls uprising allows me to have discipline without essence worm. The elder rings give me even more lgoh. The shock focus mod suggested by Uberness seems to be nice, but max life and lgoh are far more important in my opinion. Probably I should get a shield with tons of life for delving, but I really don't want to miss out on the minion frenzy charges. The flasks are as suggested by systemplayerlost. I would not change a thing. You really need the protection vs. physical damage from the basalt flask and Rumi's in deep delves. Watcher's Eye with +30 ES gain on hit: Extremely useful for deep delves. Although 30 isnt a lot compared to my 200 life gain on hit, I have full ES while cycloning in enemy groups. Consequently, my max ES (1300) helps a lot vs potential one-hits. I try to get as much life as possible from my jewels. I also need quite a lot of dex and res from jewels. Aside from that, the best mods are minion attack speed, life regen while moving, attack speed and max ES. |
